Elemental Heart

Chapter 2

          The school day went by quickly. Long classes felt like they lasted seconds. When the bell for dismissal rang I walked out to be greeted by a smiling Trin. She knew my locker combination so she grabbed my stuff for me.

            "Chris is waiting for us outside", Trin said as she grabbed my arm, and pulled me out of the school. 

               "Oh! Okay?", I said as we made it out of the school.

                  "You guys ready to leave?", Chris said. I nodded at his question and lead the way to the fire realm border. 

                    As we entered the fire realm, many of the fire elementals death-stared Trin. Trin waved nervously, knowing that they knew what she was. When I noticed everyone staring at them, my eyes turned fiery orange, telling them its okay. They all regained their composure and went back to what they were doing. We made our way to my palace when Aiden, my butler, walked out and lead us all inside. Chris and Trin looked around in amazement. 

              "So this is where she lives?", Chris asked.  He was clearly wondering where the princess was. I sighed knowing that he didn't know that she was in front of him. 

              "Yes, it is.", I said quietly as we entered a small room with a chair. "Just in here."

                 "Where is she?", Trin asked confused.

                   "Right here.", I said as i sat in the chair. Chris and Trin looked at each other glassy-eyed.

                    "No seriously.", Chris said,  "Where is she."

                   "I'm not kidding." I said directly. "I'm the princess."

           Chris and Trin looked at each other again, this time in bewilderment. "You're the princess!", they both yelled in happiness.

            We were cut off by Aiden running in. He had a worried look on his face. "My lady! We have a problem." he said petrified. I noticed there was something in his hand.

            "What is that, Aiden",  asked. He handed me a letter that had a black mark on it. I knew exactly who it was from. It was from Gasper. Gasper was the king of corruption. His note said, "Hello Mrs, Meghan, Future Queen of fire. It seems that the precious Alina has wandered off. If you wish to gain her back you must come and get her." I growled at the thought that he had my father's best friend. She helped take care of me. Now I have to save her, and that I will. 

          Aiden looked at me and said "I will get Smokey" He then ran off.
