It was a bright, sunny day in the village of Bherna. The shops were open, the smithy was welding. Everything was going great.

A man in white clothes appeared, walking into the middle of the village. He wore a white cloth around his head.
A shield was on his arm. He had a sword hanging on his back over his white robe. He wore worn boots on his feet.
He had a deep scar over his left eye that went across his face. It was a wound from his battle with Gore Magala.

He walked up to the Bhena Chief. The Chief wore a small red cap over his light brown hair. He had facial hair going around his face. He wore a green vest over his tan shirt. He wore a red belt about his waist. He wore puffy pants and high-class shoes. His cane dug into the ground. "Dāí Sauvèt. Aú Sávötê?" he said.

Being interpreted, "I do not believe we have met before, Hunter. What brings you to our village here in the highlands?"

Hunter looked at him. "I need to meet with the head of the Wycademy."

"I see..." responded the Chief. "You have come on appointment from the Hunter's Guild to work for the Wycademy. You must have traveled far."

"Yes. I have traveled all the way from Dundorma to reside here. I hope I find the man I'm looking for soon."

"On behalf of Bherna, let me welcome you, Hunter. I am the chief of this humble village. Ours is a village rich with history, centered around the Wycademy. Created long ago to research the origins of the mysterious, ancient limestone structure at the base of the mountain near here, the Wycademy is now one of the world's preeminent institutions on all manner of monster research. And Bherna, which was founded from small settlements that cropped up around the Wycademy, has walked hand in hand through history with this most illustrious of institutions."

"Wow" said Hunter. "I didn't know it centered around the Wycademy so much. Sounds like this village has a long history to it."

"...Ah, forgive me. You have not come to me for history lessons. Go introduce yourself to the Chief Researcher, and he will register your appointment as a Wycademy hunter."

"Do you know we're he might be?"

"You'll find him further up the path. You should be able to recognize him by the white researcher's coat he wears."

"Thank you, sir. But where will I stay while I am in Bherna?"

"Now, as for the matter of your lodgings. The researchers have no trouble sleeping among piles of books and reports...But for you, I'll allow you to use this Guest House." He pointed to a small stone hit to the right of the center of the village.
"Consider it your home while you work here: free of charge. Inside you will find an Item Box stocked with a selection of weapons. Use whichever one you think suits you."

"Thank you so much, sir. I don't think I'll be able to repay you for this."

"You will also have your own personal Housekeeper, who can help you with a variety of other services."

"Wow! Thank you so much, sir!"

"Once you've finished speaking with the Chief Researcher, come see me again."

Hunter continued on the path through the village. He could see a man with blonde hair and glasses. He wore a white lab coat. He was standing on the path, reading a book. Hunter walked up to the man, studying him for a moment. "You must be the Chief Researcher." said Hunter.

The man looked up. "Aha! You must be the new assistant the Guild has dispatched for me!" he said, full of energy. He studied Hunter for a moment. "You're not as...bookish as I expected."
