JUILIETTE'S POV
I walked out of class putting all my journals in my bag getting ready to meet Cameron and Nash at the campus coffee shop, I swung my bag over my shoulder almost out of the class until I heard my professor call me "juiliette! Come here" I rolled my eyes before turning around walking up to him.Don't get me wrong I love to write but my professor is old, mean, and strict he always points me out on my outstanding work, but he gets annoying cause he's always assigning me these long essays to do that take me like three weeks to do 'yes Mr. Johnson?' I ask politely.
I watch as he puts his bifocals on and searching his desk for something, once he found what he was looking for he looked up at me with big eyes due to his bifocals "I'm giving you another essay but this one is going to be different" he explains himself while getting up for his chair.
'Mr. Johnson I do love writing but all these essays you-' I got cut off by him clearing his throat and starting to talk as if he didn't want to hear what I had to say "this one is going to be based on real love I want it by the end of this semester" he hands me a book that I've never read "read this, this author describes love and how it's being seen, felt I want you to do that in your essay, now go".
I don't say anything else I put the book in my bag and rush to the coffee shop before they think I bailed on them.
I rushed inside and look around until I spotted them I walk over to the table taking a seat next to Nash "dude where were you" Cameron asks I put my bag between me and Nash 'my professor gave me another essay to do on love' I see Nash shake his head from the corner of my eye "well I wouldn't blame him juiliette your work is sick!" Nash tells me I see Cameron nod his head in agreement.
Nash is majoring in the medical field while me and Cameron have our passion for writing, Camerons work is also very good but he has a different teacher lucky him Cameron gets up from the table excusing himself I feel myself getting ready to cough so I reach in my bag to get a tissue putting it up to my mouth.
I move the tissue away from my mouth to look at it and I see Nash look at it too he lets out a sigh shaking his head lightly "juiliette you need to tell cam..." I look back at the bloody tissue I wrap it up placing it back in my bag I look over to Cameron which is getting something at the counter then I look down at my hands 'I can't...not just yet'.
"It's already been what? Three weeks since you found out you have cancer who knows how much longer you have left and you still haven't told your best friend" Nash tells me I just sit there processing what he just said 'I'll tell him when I'm ready' right when I finished saying that Cameron sits back down with a bagel in his hands.
"Well I'm sure you can do it juil's you write amazingly good! And writing about love can be very interesting" he looks down at his watch seeing it's time that his class is gonna start he packs up all of his things and wraps his bagel In a napkin "I gotta go guys see ya later maybe I'll drop by your dorm to help you start juiliette" he says rushing his words and walking out the door.
I get up from the booth swinging my bag over my shoulder 'well I better be going too so I can start on the paper' I wave to Nash walking out.
