Last year , I moved across the country to New York , the big city. A huge change. A leap of opportunity. So many exciting monuments and views . I was brand new. I had a clean slate. No one knew about my old life, and I did anything to make sure they never did.so many lies. Broken promises. Petty stories . For something , useless .
I through I fit in. I thought that everyone was just like me. Fake me. The one who covers her face with makeup. Who wears high heals. The girl who does her hair every morning. The one with endless amounts of ex's, near deaths and interesting memories. Someone completely fake. That's the person who i had come to be. I forgot what it was to be myself. Talking to my old friends wondering why they say I change. I never really noticed until there was a new girl.
She wasn't new to me, but I didn't know that.I knew her when I was in primary school back in Australia. Her name is Rosie, we were best friends from kindergarten until grade 2. I made a mistake , I chose to let her go so that I could be cool, I gave up everything. So stupid and desperate to be noticed. Surprising that I didn't notice her at first.
Rosie was stunning, killer body, healthy brown hair, bright blue eyes, straight teeth with a beautiful smile. I found her really intimidating. She was shy and clueless of how different it was . I approached her and tried to show her around. She immediately denied my offer and ran off on a hurry. She ran straight into Mitch, my boyfriend, then she twitched and played with her fingers. That's when I realised who she was. That's when I knew I had to get rid of her.
Rosie had to go.
