"Damn it," I mutter, watching the replay of myself being killed. By who? Mitch..."Won't you look at that." Mitch started smugly, leaning back into the couch. "Look who won for the eighth time in a row?" I sighed loudly, starting another online round. "And who lost for the eighth time? You." I mocked him Silently, looking at him as soon as the game started. "You know Mae, you won't ever win a round staring at the side of my face," he smirked. "Watch me." I started moving the joy stick forward and pressing down on the shooting button. "Um... Your shooting a wall," Mitch chuckled. "And now you're dead." I looked over at the tv and cursed under my breath.

"Someone's angry." I respawned and started walking around the map, carefully making sure I wasn't being followed. "I'm coming you little white boy..." I grinned to myself, looking down as soon as I saw Mitch's avatar crouching down, facing the opposite way. He's been camping and sniping people! That mother trucker. "Where the heck are you?" He groaned, moving his avatar left and right looking for me on ground level. "In your night mares," I laughed, shooting him until he died.

"WHAT!? How did you even find me!? I call BS!" I put down the control and crossed my arms triumphantly. "You gonna sit there and whine about one death cry baby?" He looked over at me disappointedly but not the serious kind. "I'm not a cry baby." I raised my eyebrows surprisingly. "I don't feel like playing anymore..." I got up from the couch and looked down at Mitch, who put down his control and stood up as well. "I don't enjoy playing alone." I shrugged and turned off the xbox console and went into the kitchen. Mitch was following me. "Why are you following me?"

"I'm bored and hungry," he said as he got a banana from the top of the fridge. Nice choice I wanted to say but kept quiet, watching as he took big bites. Oh my god my mind is so dirty. "What's wrong with a ugh eating a banana?" He asked with his mouth full looking over at me. I just realized I have been staring for too long. ( #notenough ) "Nothing sorry..." I mumbled, eating a clementine. "That's what I thought," Mitch smiles, throwing the peel into the trash. Sometimes I wonder why I still bother to talk to him.

I continued to eat quietly while he watched tv across from where I was sitting. "Jerome is back!" My idiot brother yelled as he opened the front door. "SHUT THE FUCK UP MY SHOW IS ON!" Mitch yelled, not moving his attention. "SOMEONES A LITTLE DIVA!" Probably Ian yelled since I kinda knew how most of Jerome's friends sounded like. Sometimes I like to watch some of their videos.. Some. "HES A LITTLE DIVA SINCE HE GOT KILLED ONCE IN BLACK OPS WHEN I GOT KILLED OVER ONE HUNDRED TIMES," I shouted back

. Mitch glared at me playfully before continuing to watch his show. "Jerome who said that?" I guess Jason asked. Oh yeah I don't talk to them. His group of friends entered the kitchen as they all looked at me. I pulled the hood of my sweater over my head and decided to watch tv like Mitch was. "My surprisingly social sister," Jerome answered him confusingly.

He walked over to me and leaned down. "Do I need to break him?" I shook my head, looking over at his friends. They continued to stare at me. "Jerome tell your friends to stop fucking staring at me, it's creepy as hell." One by one they looked away, some walking to the fridge to eat something. Typical boys.

"Mitch, how did you get her to be such a social butterfly?" Adam asked Him as soon as a commercial went on. "Easy. While I was awake, I heard her say-" I cut him off sharply. "Say anything and I'll slap you. Hard." Mitch looked away from Adam and back at the tv. "No fair," Adam pouted.

I stood up and walked out of the kitchen, going into my own room. Guess what? Mitch followed me. Just my luck. "Mitch where are you going?" Ty said suspiciously. "You guys are boring so I'm going with Mae." Most of the boys laughed at His answer. "Mitchell has a crush!" Jason snorted. "Your friends are calling you," I muttered, laying down on my bed face down.

"They're not acting like friends. They're acting like big jerks to you," he said, sitting down on the couch beside the window. I sighed, bringing my legs close to my chest. "Why do you care so much." Mitch stayed quiet. The only noise was now coming from the kitchen where Jerome and his friends laughed at just about anything stupid.

"I just do. And by the way, I wasn't gonna tell Adam. I was guessing it would be embarrassing for you so yeah..." Reluctantly, I sit up and grab my iPod. "That's... V-Very sweet of you," I stutter, un-sure if that was exactly the right thing to say. "It's true." With that, I watch him lay down, and turn on his side, back facing me. I plug in my earbuds and turn on pandora. Let her go by passenger starts playing.

You only need the light when it's burning low

Only need the sun when it starts to snow

Only know you love her when you let her go

Only know you've been high when your feeling low

Only hate the road when your missing home

Only know you love her when you let her go

And you let her go.

I mumble the first few verses before falling asleep.

Dream ( ooooh spooky third person dream ~O3O~ )

14 year old Mae Aceti walked up to the front door with her brother after being dropped off by the school bus. She can already hear the harsh yells of her parents from inside, fighting non stop. Sighing, she opened the door quietly and the two slipped into the house unsuspected. Jerome went into his room while Mae threw her backpack onto the bed of her own. She shut the door and sat at her desk, trying to block out the yells desperately. It's been every day for about two months now. Mae and Jerome would come home to their parents fighting nonstop. She's gotten use to the sounds of glass breaking with impact. It was at night as well. Usually, she would stumble into home room tardy, tired from having to ride her bike the two miles to school for missing the bus.

Just because of the fighting. "YOU ARENT ABLE TO DO SHIT BECAUSE OF THESE STUPID KIDS," her dad yelled. "THOMAS, DONT YOU DARE BRING THEM INTO THIS!" Her mother yelled back. She creaked open the door And watched as she slapped him hard across the face. Damn. "YOU LITTLE BITCH!" With that dad grabbed a pocket knife and put it up to her chest as she held back his hand. "MOM !" She cried and watched helplessly as he stabbed her repeatedly in the chest. He left her on the floor and started walking toward her. Dad kicked her onto the floor and cut Mae on the wrist deeply. "You didn't see anything you stupid kid!" He growled as she screamed. Jerome ran out of his room and clenched his hands into fists. Before Jerome could get a hit on him, he ran out of the house, into his car, and drove away. "Mae! Mae!"

End of spooky dream I never want to have.

I Jerked awake to Mitch shaking me and calling my name. "Mae. What's wrong? Are you ok?" Without hesitation, I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back gently. "Nightmare?" He whispered softly. I nodded into his shoulder, thinking back to what happened in the dream. Mitch pulled away and looked at me. "I-I was worried since you were like... Crying in your sleep." I wiped my eyes with the back of my hands. "What time is it?" He looked over at the clock. "2:24 am. Why?" I shrugged. "Just... Wondering."

"Well... I'm gonna go back to sleep..." He yawns, starting back to the couch. "Wait. Mitch?" He turns to me. "I- well... Can you sleep? In my bed? I'm scared... It could happen again," I nervously mumble, pulling the cover over me higher. "Sure," he simply answers, getting into bed the other side. Mitch wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me closer to him. I turn to face him and hug him, resting my head on his chest. Eventually, I fall asleep listening to his heartbeat.
