An Affair with Time, After all this Time!

Please ignore the typos and grammatical errors. I typed this in a real hurry so please bear with it! Coz am a lazy ass and editing isn't my forte after writing this much! Sorry!

Time- A naughtiest object that changes things into unexpected.

ISRC was a mess at the moment! Nirman was arrested for the murder of Menka. Aryan had left ,where, nobody knew. Randhir lost his father and he was at his worst. He felt so lonely and helpless. Not that he didn't had hope for THEM(Sandhir) but at that moment he knew Sanyukta needed time. Moreover he needs to make-up for all the times he treated her as trash. He was healing as the days passed on. But nights were meant for just blankly staring at Once-A Happy Family picture and wondering why were things so messed up with him. One night he was just sitting idly at the bench in the campus area of ISRC staring at the star lit sky, just when Sanyukta passed by. She went there and sat beside him silently. "Not slept yet?",she asked. He nodded in a no. Silence engulfed them again and suddenly he spoke still looking at sky,"Why do the closest one part away from me....Mom, Dad and....YOU?" "I never left Randhir....I promised you and I fulfilled", she chipped with a lump in her throat. With this he remembered how on the day of his parents court hearing she had hugged him with all her might promising,"Whatever may happen Randhir, I will be there for you right here, ALWAYS!" He was all left guilt stricken with the memory of Her promising & Him Leaving. He couldn't see her in the eye because he was the sinner here. He broke the holy bond of marriage by walking out. He had left her in her miserable most. He had left her blaming her of Parth's accident. Finally he breathed out," I'm Sorry....I'm....Sanyukta....I know Sorry isn't just a word for what I've done to you and treated you like but you know how your Sadu is at explaining the feelings right?" He held her hand between his palms. She was just left into pools of tears at that moment. How she wanted to hug him right away then but she wanted him to realize his mistake. Not that she was seeking a revenge or so but she wanted him to understand what was Life & Dreams for her. "Sanyukta the day I left you I thought I'd be able to live without you but with each the days passing I found myself more helpless and guilty. There wasn't a single day I didn't miss you! Every time I missed the noodles by you. I missed you touch. I missed US. I know have broken every time but Trust me this time!

I promise you I'd be a better person!

He said with genuinely giving a light squeeze to her hand. By now she was into pools of tears. She held his hands that were holding her another. "Randhir....I....Do you know I waited for you all of these two years like anything. I was so broken I just left machines. It is all because of Pappa and Aryan I'm sitting right here in front of you." He left her hands and hugged her immediately and breathed out,"Am Sorry." "I forgive you Randhir. I have always inspite of all this and After all this time. I have always and I will today as well because I Love you so much to loose you. And if staying together needs accepting all the flaws and forgiving the other I will do that. Always!" He caressed her back lovingly. "It was my fault, every time Sanyukta. My big fat Ego destroyed it all. I didn't even respect the holy bond of marriage." "You.... remember?",she chipped all surprised as she thought that marriage meant nothing to him after all this time. "How could I not Sanyukta!? You were the only one with whom I could make my future with. If not you, then none." With this he kissed her forehead making her feel like a princess. With this they promised to be together forever. He promised to work on their relationship and she, to accept him with his bad temper and ego.

Few months went on. Sanyukta was the leader of this mission and to be director of ISRC if the mission gets successful. Sanyukta and Randhir had rented an apartment in the area not far from ISRC. They would stay there on weekends to spend some time together, if time permits. Randhir would crib sometimes but he would understand as well as he knew she had responsibilities of the whole mission to look after and she cannot fool around going on a vacation for days. Few months down the lane and finally it was the day. The day for which every one of Shanaya, Joy, Kritika, Arjun, Randhir and Sanyukta came to Indian Space Research Centre. Yeah it was the day for which they were working hard for since months- Mission Mars.

Morning crept in with the rays of sun giving peek-a-boo in their room. Randhir was already awake as always, being a fitness freak, would wake up early. But today it was different. He wanted to be by her side and watch her wakeup. Not that, he didn't all these months, but everyday seemed first time to him. He looked at the way she was lying beside him with few of strands of hair over her face. He tugged them behind and called for her. He wanted her to sleep for some more time as she slept late last night checking up for all the things and doing last moment preparations. If that tiresome work wasn't enough she had called him for a make out session inspite of refusal by him but she would always melt him down with her pouts. Stubborn head she was. "Sanyukta....wakeup! Its time already." And she snuggled closer to him now being all over him. "Sanyukta getup." He chipped caressing her hair. And she wokeup. Getting ready they reached ISRC.

"So team are we ready!?",she spoke out in her enthusiastic voice. "Yes!",cheered all replicating the same enthusiasm. By now they were doing the last checkup for the take off. Randhir paid a special attention to this. As Sanyukta was was keeping on check to every possible things that came her way Randhir took her in a corner. "Randhir what the hell...",she was shut off by him with his hands on her mouth. "Promise me you'll keep yourself safe! Promise me will NOT take any stupid risk by yourself! Promise me you'll make me and your father Proud!" She looked him in his eye. She was proud at the way he was concerned for her. She couldn't form words. She just simply nodded in a yes.

And it was time. Time for them to take off.

"Everything checked!?"

"Yes!",said Shanaya.

"Mr. Shekhawat verified?"

"Yes",chipped Randhir.

"And the countdown begins.... 16 seconds till the take off..."

"16..15..14..13..12..11..10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1...Go!"

Few days after the Mission Mars being Successful.

It was press conference with the new Director of ISRC- Mrs Sanyukta Randhir Singh Shekhawat.

"So mam who inspired you throughout the journey?"

"The only people in my Life who kept me holding throughout the times rather tough or happy. My mom Anjali Agarwal though not with me physically but Always, my Father Kishore Agarwal being my left hand always and most importantly My Husband Randhir Singh Shekhawat –my right hand Always and throughout the mission. Without whom I'd not be the one standing here infront of you!"

And with the mention of the word gaps were heard around the whole conference area by the word 'Husband'.

And there his man was standing beside his father-in-law keeping his head high with proud. Yes Kishore had accepted him as his son-in-law.

"People say 'Behind every successful man there is a woman' but here in my case I'm feel myself very proud to say that 'Behind My being successful there are two men –My Father & My Husband'." And three of them had tears of happiness filled in their eyes.

With this She broke the convention,

With this she got into every completion,

With her Father by her side,

With her Husband beside,

She made their Story.
