Ebony
________"You done?" I asked Tone.
"Don't get beat the fuck up Ebony." He glared at me.
"Tone." I groaned.
"Nah, that was childish. Don't think I'm gonna let that shit slide." He lectured.
I huffed. "Whatever." I walked passed him out the door.
I walked to my main spot and leaned back on the wall waiting for customers.
About 20 customers later, Jaybee showed up. Unfortunately.
"I see you on your lil mission." He smirked.
"Fuck you." I spat and faced my next customer.
As time went by, more people came to me then to him and I was glad. Loyal customers.
"Ha, look who customers got stolen today." I smirked and Jaybee flexed his jaw.
"It's only cause they used to you. When they become familiar with me we'll see who customers get stolen." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes. I continued on selling at my post before heading to my next spot.
After going all around the block, I made about $2,000. Business was good today.
I decided on treating myself with some food so I went to B&W.
As I went to the cash register I seen Pam. The owner of the shop.
"Hey Pam." I smiled widely at her.
"Ebony, hello baby." She greeted me with a hug.
Pam was the only person besides family I allow to say my name. She's like a mother to me.
"What can I get for you baby?" She asked.
"Lemme get some burger and fries and a Cola." I looked over the menu.
She nodded. "$10.47."
I handed her a $20 and let her keep the change before getting my food and sitting at a table.
As I was eating my food someone sat in the seat across from me. When I looked up it was Joshua.
I sighed and looked back down. "Wassup Mix."
I still kept my gaze down.
He chuckled. "So we ignoring people now?"
I looked up and seen he still looked the same as before we broke up.
He licked his lips and take a French fry off my plate. I swat his hand and he dropped it.
"Still the same Ebony." He chuckled and my heart stopped.
"Don't call me that." I said.
"But it's your name." He raised a brow.
"Not to you." I looked away.
"Oh its like that?" He chuckled.
"I miss you." He grabbed my hand across the table and I quickly snatched it away.
"Why? What happened to your lil side chick?" I ate a fry.
"She's nothing like you."
"I know." I sipped my cola. "But that ain't my problem." I ate my burger.
"I know you miss the way I use to make you feel." He licked his lips.
"How was that? Being cheated on constantly? Being talked down on? Cause i sure don't miss it." I spat.
