Blue could no longer keep her eyes open. For the past few hours she had contented herself by watching the sunlight fade. She fell asleep.

“Blue...” a voice rang in Blue's ears. “Blue...” the voice repeated. Blue opened her eyes. Everything was dark, and Blue was confused. An ominous rumbling sound made Blue's heart beat faster. “Blue...” the voice became louder. “Blue...I know of your troubles...” Blue stood frozen. “W-who's there?” she stammered. “Blue...I know of your troubles...I have come to help you...” “What? Who is it? Who's here to help me? Why do you haunt me so?” Blue's shriek rang out in the dark. A dim green light grew bright in front of her. She looked at it, and heard a sinister laugh. A very old she-wolf stepped forward, and Blue couldn't help but let out a faint wail at the sight of her. She was very thin and dressed in rags. One eye was covered in dense scars. Her ribs stuck out of her sides like mountains. When she smiled, Blue saw she was missing several teeth. Her voice was hoarse and her breath fowl. Her gray fur had some small patches missing. But the scariest thing Blue found on the wolf was that her eyes had no pupils...her eyes were just glowing orbs. “Blue. What a pleasant surprise you came to see me.” The old wolf cackled and Blue felt a chill run down her spine. “I-I didn't come to see you! Who are you? Why am I here?” Blue quivered. The old wolf grinned. “I am here to help. You see, I know of your pain. You are terribly mistreated, am I correct?” Blue blinked, mostly in surprise. “Yes...” she said almost inaudibly. “Your mother hates you. No wolf respects you. Correct again, am I?” “Yes,” Blue repeated. “And don't you want to do something about it? You weren't planning on leaving it the way it was?” The  last sentence the old wolf spoke was spat out, and was said sharply. Blue not wanting to be seen as a fool by the frightening creature, merely whispered, “No, no...I wasn't.” “Then what were you planning on doing?” The wolf stared at her with her frightening, unblinking, soulless eyes. “I...I...” Blue stammered. She hoped by some miracle words would enter her mind, but she had nothing. “Ah. I see,” the old wolf said softly. “Then listen to me. What better way to fix the way you are treated with avenge?” Blue flattened her ears. “Revenge? But, my father always said...” “Nonsense! No mentioning Steven at this time. He doesn't mean it. He doesn't care!” The old wolf snarled her response, and Blue jumped back in fear and shock.
