chapter 3

Kadie; P.O.V
  I wake up to the noise of my  alarm going off.
I get up and go straight to the bathroom.
I take a quick shower, after I brush my teeth and go over to my closest.
Today I get to see my stepdad, I bet he will just use my mom for her money.
My mom works in the victoria secret modeling agency, I sometimes model her new designs.
Anyways, I choose a casual set of cloth's.

I walk to my table where all my makeup Is, I do a natural look because,hey, Im not impressing no one.
After, I walk downstairs to the kitchen where my mom is siting down in the island, with her laptop.
"Goodmoring mom" I say grabbing a bowl from the cabnit.
"Goodmoring darling" she says keeping her eyes on her laptop.
I walk over to the fridge to get some milk.
I grab some cearl and pour it in my bowl of milk.
I look over to my mom who is still looking at her laptop.
"Well mom I'm leaving...bye" I said walking over to the door.
No bye, wow that man is sure taking over her life.

I walk outside choosing I should walk to school today.
I start walking when I feel a vibration in the back pocket of my jeans.
Jenna and kyle texted me.

             'Gc w/ the homies'

Jenna: where are you?!

Kyle: are you okay?!

Kyle: ANSWER!

Me:chill guys I'm walking to school.

Kyle: oh k cool. Be safe.

Jenna: be safe gurl.

   I sigh and put my phone back away.

     
          IN SCHOOL

"See I'm here and safe" I said walking up to jenna and kyle.
Jenna walks up to me and whispered something.
"Dont look back" she said whispering in my ear.
I turn around smiling thinking that she was pranking me.
But she wasnt.
My smile fades away. My heart broke into pieces.
Joey was kissing the schools slut emily.
I turn back around and start walking away.
I hear jenna calling my name.
I ignore it and start speed walking to the janitors closet.
When I reached it I start bursting into tears.

Doesn't he like me back, am I not perfect.
I thought to myself.

"You know what kadie... Just ignore him and you will get over him" I say thinking out loud.

I get up, walking to the door.
I move the knob and walk out to see no one in the hallways.
I start walking slow making sure no one will see me.
I deicide to skip school and go to target for a while.

           { 5:00 }

I am currently walking back home not wanting to be late for dinner.
Today the day I see the man that stole my moms heart.
I open the door to see my mom walking back and fourth in the living room.
I walk past her to the stairs, but she caught me.
"Where were you?!" She says anger and lust in her voice.
"Its not like you will care anyways" I snap back.
She looks down and points upstairs.
"Go change they will be here soon" she says not starring at me.
I huff and walk upstairs.

I walk ove to my makeup table and start.
When I was done I laid in my bed and thought what did she mean by 'they'. My thought were cut off when I hear 2 guy voice downstairs.
But one caught me off guard.
One sounded familer.

I walk out of my room and walk downstairs. They weren't in the living room.
Maybe the kitchen.
My heart was pounding I'm so nervous.
When I walk in I see a 6'1 man hugging my mom.
A-nd then there was this boy I couldn't see his face because he was facing the other way.
He looked to be 5'11 taller then me I'm 5'3.
He turn around and I feel my heart pounding so hard you can even hear it.
J-oey mother freaking is my stepbrother.
Why didn't my mom tell me?
"Honey aren't you going to say hi" I snap my head to her direction.
"Uh hi sir" I said to the man side hugging my mother.
"Call me steven" he smiles showing his pearl white teeth.
I smile back nodding.
I turn around to face a pale joey.
He was shocked like I was.
"H-hi j-oey" I said stuttering.
"You guys know each other" my mom said out of the blue.
"Yeah mom we go to school together" I said looking down.

I can feel his eyes starring at me. Making me uncomfortable.
"Well lets eat" my mom says.
I take a seat next to the coner.
I feel a presence sit next to me, I turn to my side seeing joey there.
He smiles but I roll my eyes.
