Chloé's POV
"Oui Mama, je vous promets que restera sûr!" ( "Yes Mum, I promise I will stay safe!") I tell my mother as I pack the last pair of shoes into my abnormally large suitcase.
"Bon" (Good) she answers
"Je sais que vous serez bon je suppose que je suis juste un peu nerveux au sujet de vous voyager tout le chemin vers l'Australie!" (I know you will be good, I guess I am just a little nervous about you travelling all the way to Australia!")
Tears start to well up in her eyes and only now, Am I feeling how much I will really miss them.
"Je vais vous manqué Mama." (I will be fine mama) I tell her, giving her a kiss on the cheek, resultantly making me cry as well.
"Allez, nous ne voulons pas que vous soyez en retard pour votre
avion!" (Come on, we don't want you to be late for your plane!) I hear my Papa's voice call from down the hall.
This is it, I'm moving to Australia, it's only for a little bit, it won't be that bad.
At least I got time to see my best friend, Emma before I left.

My parents and I are all carrying a bag and are wheeling it into the airport. We wait for about 20 minutes before I hear my flight number called over the speakers.
I walk to the gate, I can still hear the echo of the number being called. My family and I say our goodbyes quickly and I walk onto the plane.
Now comes the hard bit... Finding my seat!
I sit down in my seat (c5) and put my headphones over my ears. As the flight attendant starts rambling on about safety and all that jazz, I think of my parents which makes me cry, a lot...
This is going to be harder than I thought!

"Hello" I hear a voice to my left say. It's a young boy, mid twenties maybe, relatively attractive.
"Bonjour... I mean hello!" I say a little embarrassed.
My English quite good as we learn it as our second language at our school. It surprises me when the young man next to me starts talking to me in French, and I have to hand it to him, he's good!
"Ça va?" (How are you?) "je m'appelle Thomas!" (My name is Thomas) he holds out his hand waiting for me to shake it.
"Je m'appelle Chloé" I respond shaking his hand.
"Your French is good!" I state as my hand returns to my lap.
"I learnt it during high school, came here as an exchange student and loved it and now I am returning home!" He says excitedly. "Where are you off to?"
So he isn't as old as I thought... Whoops!
"I'm going to Australia as an exchange student, I'm going to Telopia high school!" I exclaim a little more excitedly than I had anticipated.
"Really! I go to Telopia!"
We'll it wasn't too hard to find my first friend then was it?
"Fasten your seat-belts everyone, the plane is about to land." The flight attendants voice crackles over the speakers.
Thomas indicates that our conversation is over when he reaches for his head phones and puts them over his head.
When the plane lands, Thomas or Tom as he has asked me to call him, helps with my bags as he doesn't have many, one to be exact. I am about to say thank you when over the speaker I hear, " Would Chloè Dubois please come to the front desk, the Halls are waiting to pick you up!"
"Would you like me to walk you to the front desk?" Tom asks
We'll that was very generous! Is all I can think... What a gentleman!
Nodding, he takes a few of my bags, i take one and we walk quickly to the desk... And I mean quickly!
"Oh..." Tom states bluntly "I see you're staying with Georgia."
"Oui... Yes!" We had talked over the phone and she seemed lovely! So why doesn't Tom like her?
"See you at school!!" He yells.
I look down, all of my bags are on the ground, I look to where he was yelling from and he has run off, not even said a proper goodbye! We'll if that's how it is here...
"Bonjour!" Yells Georgia with confusion as she looks into her French English dictionary. She obviously can't speak French.
"Hello" I say with excitement, this surprises her, I think she was expecting someone who couldn't speak fluent English! Even though everyone knows Hello...
As the engine of Georgia's car starts, a mixture of sadness and excitement rushes through my body... THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!!!
HEY GUYS, SO THIS IS MY FIRST BOOK ON WATTPAD... OR EVER! BARE WITH ME, IT WONT BE THE BEST BOOK EVER BUT I WILL TRY MY BEST! AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF FRENCH IN THE STORY BUT I WILL ALWAYS PROVIDE THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION, (the French won't be perfect either) PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK, COMMENT, VOTE AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!
