The Father Of my Child

Jihyun's POV

It's been three days since we've been in the States because Dae's dad needed to get the companies under control. We are finally heading back to Seoul, with my father's body as well as Secretary Shin. I've already sent the invitations to his funeral. We decided that it was only to be family and very close friends.

I watched as the jet took off and the farther away we got from the ground. I started to feel nauseous so I turned away from the window. I still don't know how to bring up the fact that I'm pregnant to Luhan. I don't even think I want to tell him.

One part of me says that he'll help support the baby because he loves me, but the other part – the bigger part – says that he'll throw you away. No matter what, I was going to keep this baby. My father's life and Secretary Shin's life was given up for this person in me to be given a life.

“Ji, you have to tell him,” Daehyun said beside me.

“I can't, what if he doesn't accept it.”

“Then it's a chance you'll be taking.” Jongup said.

“And don't worry,” Youngjae chimed. “You'll have all of us to help you through everything.”

“Youngjae is right Ji. We've all come so far together. We've all known each other since preschool and nothing has ever separated us,” Yongguk gave me his loveable gummy smile.

“We're your family. We'll always be your family noona,” Zelo reached over Daehyun and hugged me.

“You guys are seriously the best,” I started crying once more. “Damn these hormones!”

Everyone started to laugh. We started reminiscing about all the times we've spent together for all the years we've known each other. And it was seriously amazing how much we've all grown and matured.

I watched as my father's casket was being lowered down and soon the dirt was being thrown back in. I shut my eyes as the pain struck through my heart once again in realization that he was really gone. I felt arms bring me into a hug and I began to cry once more. I smelt Daehyun's familiar scent and sobbed into his chest as he whispered comforting words.

After a few minutes, I finally calmed down and Daehyun let go of me. He wiped my tears away and gave me an encouraging smile.

My aunts, uncles and cousins came to give their condolences and left. Some of my father's closes friends and business partners came as well. Most of them saying how great of a man he was.

I turned around to the boys and said, “I'll be back.” and headed to another burial that was taking place. It was Secretary Shin's. He left behind a wife and two kids and another one on the way.

“Mrs. Shin,” his wife turned to look at me with watering eyes. I knew she was still in denial about it all. “I'm so sorry.”
