A Lesson He'll Never Forget

No One's POV

The man driving the car saw an animal entering the road, but he didn't have enough time to brake or swerve. He tried braking as fast as he could so he didn't hurt the animal too bad, but he hit it, hard. Sending the animal flying a few feet. He immediately came to a stop, his breathing was rapid and heart pounding.

“Honey, did you hit something?” his wife awoke when she felt the car come to a stop. He didn't answer, he reached into the glove box for his flashlight, got out of his car and went to check on the animal. His breathing stopped.

“Oh my god,” he breathed taking a step back. It was Jihyun covered in a pool of her own blood.

His wife opened the door and stepped out, “What i-”

“Stay where you are and call 9-1-1! We need the ambulance now!” he panicked. He looked up and shined his light into the forest of where she came from and found a figure walking away.

In less than five minutes, the place was filled with police cars and ambulance. The couple stayed for questioning as Jihyun was rushed to the hospital. The man told them about the figure he was in the forest and three squad cars followed the small dirty path to the cabin, only to find it empty. Kris as well as the car was gone.

Luhan's POV

All the boys and I were in Mr. Wu's office discussing places Kris might have went when one of the rookies came barging in out of breath.

“We just received a call from Kyujong from the police station,” he said quickly. “They found Jihyun and she's headed to the hospital right now, but there's no sign o-”

Before he even finished I was up and running to the hospital, the boys not far after me. We all sped through traffic trying to see who could get there first. I was the first and immediately got out of my car and ran inside to the front desk.”

“Lee Jihyun,” I breathed out. “Where is she? I was told she was just sent here.”

“She was just omitted into the operating room,” the lady told me.

“Wh-”

“Luhan,” it was Kyujong calling me.

“Hyung, what happened?! Why is she in the operating room?!” I felt myself tear up as I took hold of his collar, shaking him.

Hands grabbed me and pulled me away from him, “First you need to calm down Luhan.”

“Calm down! My girlfriend goes missing and is found almost two weeks later and you tell me to calm down!” I yelled, now I was really crying.

“Chief Kyunjong, please tell us what happened? Where did you find here?” Daehyun pleaded beside me.

He nodded, “Let's head on up and wait in the waiting room near the operating room.”

We all agreed and went to the third floor of the hospital and sat down.

No One's POV

“A couple was driving down interstate 44 and as the turned the curve up the mountain to their cabin an animal jumped out of the forest in front of the car. He could break on time and hit the animal sending it flying five feet away,” he recited the man's story.

He stopped to see their reactions, he wasn't sure if he wanted to go on. The look on their faces told him otherwise so he continued.

“He went out to look only to find that it was Jihyun that he hit.” All had tears in their eyes and some had to turn away.

“Kris,” Luhan hissed with tears flowing. “What about Kris?!”

“We're still tracking him down. Doctors confirmed it was him that kidnapped Jihyun with the blood samples found in her fingernails and his ejaculation stains found on her.”

Within seconds there was a hole on the wall and Luhan's fist in it. His body shook with rage as it took over his entire body. Hot tears making its way down his cheek. All eyes were on him. They knew how hard it was for Luhan because he loves her so much. And to think that one of his childhood best friends could betray him like that was sickening.

“Luh-”

“I'm going to help you find him and when I do, I will rip his balls off!”

“What about Jihyun hyung? She needs you,” Suho said.

“All we could do is wait to hear her results and I'm not going to sit around while that bastard is out there running around,” I answered coldly.

“Luhan's right. We can't all just sit around when a criminal is loose,” Daehyun stood up. “Let's go find him and teach him a lesson he'll never forget.”

With that the both left.
