Sans X Reader

Chapter 31

You and Sans followed Gaster into the lab. Gaster instantly went to talk to Alphys while Sans took you back to the room. He helped you onto your bed and put the wheelchair away.

"Heh, I-I'm glad I finally have Mom back. You have no idea how much I've missed her. I have you and your feelings to thank for bringing her back!" Sans explained with joy in his voice.

"I guess you can say that. Though really, it wasn't just my feelings. Just think about it, why would she just randomly interrupt our conversation if she had nothing to do with it?" You stated. Sans chuckled.

"Yeah I guess you're right. Either way, thank you." He kisses the top of your head. 

"It's been a long day. You should go get some sleep Sans." You suggest. He chuckles a bit.

"You get some sleep to babe~" Sans states. You nod.

"Goodnight Sans!" You say with a smile.

"Goodnight (y/n)." Sans replies. He gives you a quick kiss and leaves the room. You close your eyes. You quickly fall asleep.

Chara laughs as she slowly walks towards you. The knife in her hand was covered in both human blood and monster dust. You try to run away, but all you can do is crawl. You yell for help. Someone, anyone, please help! You see Sans in the distance and hold your hand out to him, only to watch him fade to dust. You give up. Everyone you know and love is dead. It's useless how. You lay there patiently, waiting for the sweet release of death. Finally, you feel a cold knife slide straight into your heart. You give a small smile as blood falls from your mouth and onto the floor. Finally...you're free.

You jolt awake with a scream, but then moan in pain since you strained your injured body. Not even a moment later, Sans burst through the door and runs up to you.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Sans asked, gently grabbing your hand and looking down at your small body.

"Don't worry Sans, I'm fine. I just had a nightmare. Chara killed everyone, that's pretty much about it." You explained. You didn't want to go into detail in fear that you might start crying.

"Alright babe, just relax, you're fine." Sans said, helping you calm down. You look at Sans with a worried look on your face.

"Sans, we need to leave. It's time to head to the castle." You explained. Sans gave you a confused look, but quickly knew what you meant. Your feelings were acting up, telling you that it wasn't safe to stay any longer. Sans pulled up your wheelchair and helped you onto it. He then pushed you out into the main part of the lab while he went to go gather the others. While he was gone, you sat in silence, fiddling with your thumbs as you began to become really worried.

Soon, Sans, Gaster, Alphys, Undyne, Papyrus, Melody, and Frisk all walked up to you. Sans gave you a patient smile as he started to wheel you out of the lab. Sans takes a left towards his mother's boat, seeing as how that is the fastest way to get to the castle.

"Hello Riverperson! Could you take us as close to the castle as you can?" You ask a little faster than needed to be. You were just in a rush from how much danger you and your friends are in. 

"Why of course! I could take to straight to the castle using a river that I barely use if you would like. You seem in a hurry. Tra la la." Apple replied. you thank her and everyone piles into the boat. you lean against Sans, feeling safe around him. From the other side of the boat, Gaster smirks at you. you roll my eyes and laugh a little. Sans sighs happily as he wraps his arm around you and kisses the top of your head. Luckily, you and Sans aren't the only couple on this boat. Papyrus and Melody are cuddling as well. You can't see Apple's face,  but you can tell that she seems very pleased. Any mother would be happy to know that both of her children are happy.

In about 10 minutes, you all pull up to this hidden spot that had stairs leading up to the entrance of the castle. Sans helps you out of the boat and onto your wheelchair. Once everyone else is out, he have Sans face you towards his mother.

"Thank you so much A- uh, Riverperson. If there is anything we could do to repay you, please, we would be more than happy to help." You explain with a warm smile. You knew that danger was closing in, but you couldn't just leave without helping Apple in some way. 

"There is one thing (y/n)...protect my boys for me, will you?" She asks. It's obvious Gaster is questioning what she meant, but he didn't pursue it. You smile happily and nod.

"I will protect them with my life." You reply. Apple seems to be happy with your response as she drifts away on her boat. Sans turns you back to face the stairs. You look up at him to see the face of dread on him.

"How are we going to get you up without magic?" Sans asked. If he had skin, you knew that he would be pale right now.

"Oh come on punk, that's easy!" Undyne said as she walked up to you and Sans. She grabbed your wheelchair and lifted it in the air...with you still in it. "Now we just walk up!"

"If you're going to do that, take (y/n) out of the chair!!" Sans yelled. You roll your eyes and look down at Sans.

"Now is not the time to worry about me Sans. We are all in danger. If we don't go right now, we are dead!" You reply. Sans opened his mouth to speak but he sighed and looked away.

"Fine. Let's go then." Sans grumbled. You chuckle as Undyne started to walk up the stairs, still holding you. You look back to see all of your friends following you. You smile to yourself, glad to know you have so many amazing friends. Once all of you got to the top of the stairs, you are faced to face with the castle. This is the end of the line, maybe even the end of your adventures here in the Underground.

(Hey guys, it's been a while, huh? I'm sorry this took so long to come out. It's crazy to think that just a few chapters ago was my 1k mark. I kinda lost interest in this book for a while there, but seeing as how it's already at 2k, I just know I can't leave it yet. I still have plenty of plans too, so expect a lot more chapters to come out soon! I probably won't do a special chapter for a bit, cuz don't you think that me coming back is a present enough? XD Well, maybe at 2.5k I'll make something special. Just tell me what you would like and I'll try to bring it out for ya. well ttyl guys!)
