The complicated birth of our baby.

Chapter 1

It was a cold winter day and I was sitting in my farm watching tv before I had to go outside and finish all the work associated with getting all the animals into their winter stables. I sat next to my wife and our daughter. We were watching one of violets favorite movies ( violet is our daughter). She was telling us what was to happen next, when I felt a sharp pain pull throughout my tummy. I bent over in pain as my wife paused the movie. My daughter jumped up and as we had taught her, grabbed the birthing bag because we were at the farm. She grabs the bag and runs back to the living room. I knew we would not be back at the farm for the first weeks of the baby's life as we wanted to be in our little home for the birth and stay for a while. I got up pressing through the pain and headed for the door. Jenna ran to my side and attempted to convince me to get into the car to go to the hospital or house ( she didn't know weather we were having the baby at the hospital or house. It was going to be a surprise when I drove her there. The only other person who knew was violet.) I told her we had to get the animals in their winter homes so that the farm sitter could come and feed them all and we could relax. She begged me to get into the car but because I'm a midwife and I know that I'm a few weeks early, I could wait. I told her I was fine and that I really wanted to get this over with. She agreed and helped me to the stables. I got to the doors of the stable and didn't feel right. I was about to faint. Just before I fainted,I tried to tell her where we were going for the birth.
"Take me to the....."
Then I fainted.
