It is said that you have flashes of your entire life when you are dying.

That's not True.

I'm not dying. Yet, I can see my entire life in flashes. But I'm about to begin a new life. A life away from what I was in the past. A life that shall begin in exactly two hours.

A life as Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

Mrs. Oberoi.

A name every woman wishes to posses. They are all despising me for acquiring it.

For claiming Shivaay Singh Oberoi's name as all mine.

The Handsome, Rich and Successful yet Rude, Cruel, Stone-hearted multi-billionaire. It was not an easy gain though. Being the tough nuts to crack. None of us wanted to voice out our feelings for each other. We hated each other's guts. Yet here we were, waiting impatiently for the moment when the Holy Ceremony will bind us together.

Looking into the mirror, I could not believe that it was my image reflecting in the glass. The image of woman dressed to the prim in an expensive semi-Indian bridal attire with a pale pastel shawl covering my head. My hair tied high up in a bun yet falling over my shoulder.

For Shivaay likes my hair open, more when they are wild and messy from all my running around doing errands. Looking back it reminds me of how I thought they look similar to a bird's nest, now I purposely mess it up as per his liking.

I remember when Jhanvi Maa and Pinky Maa came over to my temporary flat to hand over the Bridal Joda. It weighed heavier than a vessel full of water, not to mention extremely expensive, designed by the most famous designers around the globe.

***FLASHBACK***

"Annika, this is the Lehenga you must wear during the Phera. It is exclusively ordered by Shivaay... " Pinky Maa said teasingly.

I find it hard to believe, that this same woman refused to acknowledge me as her to-be Daughter-in-law a few days ago. But, a mother's love must have changed her mind. Though she did warn me that I must take care of her Son and keep him happy forever. Cause I don't have an option, The Oberois don't weigh Divorce as an option, a marriage commitment lasts forever. Till death does them apart.

"But Maa, this is so heavy! I won't be able to carry it. What if I trip while walking towards the Mandap? I don't think so it's a good idea... " I said as panicked holding the attire in my hand.

Jhanvi Maa giggled and Pinky Maa smiled at my expression. But something similar in their expression. Fondness? Maybe.

" You are going to be a Oberoi bride now. Especially the eldest Oberoi daughter-in-law. Get used to the heavy and expensive, Annika." Jhanvi Maa admonished me playfully.

"I know you aren't used to the showbiz of our world. But it's what we have to do. Whether you like it or not. We did the same, now it's your turn." added Pinky Maa.

"Are you seeking revenge from me? Please it's Dadi you are supposed to avenge Maa.!!" I said playfully teasing them.

They giggled and continued to train me with for the Oberoi lifestyle. And of course showering jewelleries for the different rituals.

***FLASHBACK OVER***

Twenty minutes later Priyanka enters the room announcing that Baraat has left for the venue. Priyanka and Omkara offered to stand by my side for the wedding functions. As Shivaay strictly prohibited my so-called gold digging Relatives from attending the ceremonies after Bua Ji created a mess at the first Ganesh Pujan. Not that I care.
