Lydia
'finally' I thought as I walked through the brick wall between platform 10 and 9 and onto platform 9 3/4. Smoke from the old train greeted me. I was Home.
Every time I entered the other dimension as I like to call it, it felt like the first time, six years ago.
The platform was crowded. Students and their family were standing around each other. Some kids were running around and I could feel a light wind brushing through my freshly washed hair.
The weird feeling of desire made itself being felt seeing all these happy families talking, hugging and so much else had made me feel some kind of way. And watching these happy families made me realise that I was missing mine, who had to stay on the other side of the magical wall ever since I went to Hogwarts. They were muggles and clearly shocked when they heard that all the crazy shit I have done in my childhood, had been magic. Apparently, I once have used a spell as a baby, following my toys to fly. But to be honest, I didn't believe it.
It was a quarter to eleven and I decided it would be a great idea to make my way to the train since it would leave the station soon. Also, I wanted to have a free compartment this time. Usually, I had to share it with people who were really disgusting.
" Lydia!!" , I heard some girl voice saying in excitement somewhere behind me. As I turned around to look who was calling my name, I saw my red haired best friends running towards me with her arms wide open. The smile on my face grew bigger and bigger the less space was between us. I probably looked like an axolotl, lovely animals.
"Ginny! I've missed you so much. I am so sorry, I couldn't owl you because we couldn't keep Lilo in our flat anymore. My dad's allergic, also I wasn't home that much." I said as I pulled her into a big tight hug. Lilo was my owl, a stubborn but lovely owl, who I didn't saw until summer ended. She also deserved a break, she had to fly in year six about a thousand times to my parents and back, this year I decided to write fewer letters and only update my parents on really important stuff.
Ginny and I didn't let go of each other until a group of boys interrupted us. The tall blonde boy, who was the leader the group, smirked at us until he burst into laughter, " Go away you gay people! Haha, go make out already." The anger inside of me rose up to my face leaving small red marks on it. I balled my hands into a fist putting all the anger in it. But what I said had sounded under control, "Wow Malfoy, is it an insult to call someone gay? Since you still live in the past you little ferret, you don't know about stuff like this. If I didn't know better I would assume that you are gay yourself, but I have seen you snogging around with more than twenty persons in my whole school career. And would you guys please excuse me and Ginny now, we'd like to arrive Hogwarts without seeing your ugly faces once again." And with that, I turned around, flicked my hair and whipped it all over Malfoys face. One more look towards the clock, five to eleven.
"We should hurry Lyds or else we would have to still next to Lavender Brown and her clique. I really wanna have a free compartment this time". Lavender Brown, a lovely girl, not really. In the six years, I have spent at Hogwarts Lavender was, with Draco Malfoy and his clique, the most annoying person at Hogwarts. I just couldn't stand her.
Eventually, we got onto the train and surprisingly found a free compartment really quickly, but as we wanted to sit down on the comfortable blue seats, we got surprised with laughter again, "Haha nice try, but this is our compartment! You don't belong here", the tall pale blonde haired boy sneered arrogantly once again, pointing at the seats we were already sitting on, " it would be very pleasing if you would go away! Or else you two will feel the Cruciatus curse...".
"Say's who?", Ginny questioned snappy, making the look on Malfoy's face grow even angrier and redder than before.
"How dare you talk like that to me you blood-traitor", he snapped back and grabbed for his wand in his pocket, "You are going to regret that"
