On a quiet winter's day we start our grand tale. A tall fair skinned, fair haired man with a long red cloak was walking along the road. His name just so happened to be, by some curious chance Alistair. Alistair Blackbird.

Now I know what you're saying. Well o' course he's an evil madman! He is not I can assure you. This man was a Kind, fair gentleman. He had a myriad of knowledge and was very intelligent indeed. His parentage had however been lost to the fierce winds of time.

Getting back to the topic of our present scene, Alistair was lazily strolling through the small wood that was close to his house on the hill. A slight fog had conjured itself through the mesh of trees. This was no detriment to the good spirits of the young man. Then out of the blue There was a loud CRACK!

" What  the? What was that?! " Yelped Alistair. Gingerly he went on. He walked on still gingerly. Until he ran right into the thing that made the noise!

A large black shape was right in front of him.  Almost like a man but taller. There was only one thing it could be. A werewolf. Obviously taking the hint, Alistair shrieked and ran in the other direction.

But then... he stopped. For it wasn't a werewolf. It was a man. The mysterious man wore ragged and ripped robes which were gray in colour.  He was tall. Broad shouldered, and fair skinned.

Alistair was the first to speak.

"Hello there. What's your name? I'm Alistair!" said Alistair in a timid voice that was quite not his!

" Oh well... Hello there! My name is Cawr*" said the giant gingerly.

" How ironic! Your name means giant in giantspeak. Nifty" said Alistair suddenly excited.

" Why don't you come over to my little nook in the woods over there. It's big enough for you." said Alistair hoping he had not offended the gentle giant.

"Well... okay. if you insist kind sir." replied the giant happy he was not feared. These simple words would soon spark a friendship more powerful than anything. Even prejudice.

The unusual duo made their way to Alistair's house. Already there was a problem.

"Um, Alistair. I can't fit in your lovely little house! I'm sorry to bother you." said Cawr sadly.

" Not a problem firstly the door is enchanted to allow someone of any size to enter. Not only that but  my home is bigger on the inside but it looks smaller. You'll find my house is able to accommodate all sizes shapes and race. I've got it all figured out right?" said Alistair.

So the two had a comfortable day eating toffee and drinking tea. Completely unaware that trouble was brewing elsewhere in the world of Alistair Blackbird.
