Sophia's P.O.V
When we got out of the helicopter, I saw we were at a barn. I ran down stairs and hugged Noah and my dad.
"I missed you guys so much!" I exclaimed.
"We missed you too, but you have to go." Noah said hugging me back.
"What? No!" I said, upset that he wanted me to leave.
"Why?" Faith asked.
"Yeah, why?" Ethan said, "Carter told us to take her to you, so we tracked you down and brought her to you."
"You need to go before he com-" Dad was cut off by a laugh, I turned around to see the one the only... wait that's not Bates, tha-that's Carter's step father!
"Wha-What are you doing here?" I said trying to hide how scared I was.
"Same reason you are." He said with a smirk.
"Wha-What is that," I asked.
"Oh? Your not here to kill everyone Carter loves then kill him?" He asked sarcastically.
"Wha- No!" I yelled, "That would include killing me!"
"Are you sure that it's just about you dying?"
"Wha-What do you mean?" I asked a little scared
"I mean, are you more upset at the fact that I'm going to kill Carter"
"Pfft no" I got cut off
" Because you won't kill me" I heard Carter's voice from behind me I ran over and hugged him
"Carter!" I screamed happily
"Hay Sophi," he said smiling I got your text I laughed
"Okay, Okay break it up you too" I heard his stepfather say "Well I'm gonna kill you anyway so... Nah it's gross"
"One your not gong to kill us two-" Faith got cut off by a gunshot
"Now," His father said "I'm the one with the gun I'm the one with the rules"
"Wha-What do you mean," I asked
"I mean that we're gonna play a game and whoever loses dies" He paused "And if you win you can live"
"Then what's the game?" Faith asked
"Oh, yeah well the game is hide 'n seek," Carter's father said " If I find you, you die"
"Will you shoot us on the spot?" Noah asked
"Yeah, will you?" My father agreed
"Well, of course not!" He said too cheerfully
"Then how will you kill us?" Faith asked
"You'll just have to wait and see," He said smiling showing off his yellow teeth "Now go go go I'll start counting" We all ran away and hid. I hid behind a stack of hay
"13, 14, 15" I heard him count then I saw Faith across from me and she ran closer
"Sophi are you scared," Faith asked me
"Kinda but we have to be quiet or he'll know where we are" I whispered she nodded and went back to her hiding place
"18, 19, 20," He said "Come out, come out wherever you are"
Time for the truth I'm terrified for many reasons like, what if he finds me... Or if he finds dad or Noah if my only sibling or my dad died I would have no relatives alive.... What if he finds Carter my-my love. I love Carter and if he dies...He won't....What if Faith dies then I wouldn't have a 2 BFF's I would only have Alex.... And what if I- my thoughts were cut through by a voice
"Found ya," his dad said my heart started beating so fast I think I could have fainted if it weren't for him screaming
"Come here everyone NOW" Then everyone came out of there hiding place with fear. Then anger when they saw a gun pointed at my head
"Now, who would like to say goodbye?" He said
"NO!" Carter screamed "Kill me not her"
"What Car-Carter no!" I yelled as he walked over here
"Fine with me" His father said as he pulled away the gun and aimed it at Carter "Anyone want to say goodbye"
"Carter please I-I love you" I started balling
"Carter I've known you forever and being in you pack was and will always be the best thing in the world" Faith said
"Look I know I hated you but you saved my sister and your saving her now thank you" Noah said
"Thank you for saving my daughter" My father said
"Any Last words Carter?" He sneered.
"Yeah." Carter said, looking directly at me, "Stay with a pack, don't make the same mistake I did for years. Don't be a Lone Wolf."
Then boom the gun got shot his STEP father laughed and walked out of the barn.
This is it my love died..Carter is dead and he did it to save me.. Me It's my fault that he's dead and I will get revenge on his step father... So help me.
