"PHOENIX" my mom calls "PHOENIX THE PHONE IS FOR YOU". I ignore her the best I can, but I hear her climbing the stairs telling Vienna to hold on. I put my pillow over my ead and close my eyes, hoping she'll think I'm asleep.. no such luck. I hear her walk in, saying "Phoenix, Viennas on the phone-". She noticed me 'asleep' and being the jerk that she is, she pulls the covers off of me. "For gods sakes Phoneix get out of bed! It's only 4:30 we haven't even had dinner, and your girlfriend is on the phone!!" "She is NOT my girlfriend" I say, just before snatching the phone from her and ushering her out of my room. "Hi Vienna, whats up?" I say into the phone, "Hi Phoenix! Do you want to go to the movies with me tomorrow?" she sounded eager. "Sorry Vienna, I'm busy all week, I'm going to Ottawa with my mom and Liam" I reply, and it wasnt a complete lie, I am going to Ottawa, I'm just not leaving until after dinner. "Oh, well, sorry for waking you up, and have fun in Ottawa" she sounded so dissapointed. "Bye" she ended the call. Just then, Liam jumped through the window behind me "BOO!" he yelled. "Oh my goodness you scared the crap out of me!!" "Sorry," he laughed, "Who was that? Vienna again?" "Yeah, she wanted to know if I could go to the movies tomorrow, she was crushed when I told her no" I replied. "But we aren't leaving until after dinner, you couldve gone during the day" "yeah but I have to pack..." I lied, a poor choice of lies considering Liam had helped me pack my suitcase yesterday after school. But I was hoping he would take the hint and let it go. Thankfully he did. "Whatever, anyways," he said changing the subject "What hotel are we staying at again?" normally people would assume he had a bad memory, but I knew he was just asking to annoy me. "Oh, actually Liam, I dont remember, maybe it's the You'resoannoying Holiday Inn, does that sound familiar?" I said sarcastically "What?? I was just asking!!" "Yeah for the bajillionth time this week!" I say as I punch him in the shoulder "whatever," he replies and punches me back.
