"Hey, honey. It's dinner time." My grandma whispered, shaking me a little. "Huh?" I said opening my eyes and snapping back to reality. "Oh, ok. I'll be right down." I said. "You almost slept the whole day." She said before leaving. "I did? Wow, I must of been really tired." "Yeah." She responded. I got up and headed down stairs. I finished getting down the stairs and started walking down the hall to the kitchen when all of a sudden.. Ding Dong! The doorbell rang. "Grandma, are you expecting anybody?" I asked, curiously. "No darling but could you get that?" She yelled back from the kitchen. "Sure!" I yelled back. I slowly walked to the door and twisted the door knob. I opened it up and there was a man with a Kate's Flower Shop cap on and a khaki uniform on. "Hi, may I help you sir?" I asked, very conscious and a little scared. "Hello, are you Riley Jay?" the strange man asked? "Um, yes I am?" I said and questioned. "These are for you." He said pulling a bouquet of flowers from behind his back. "Thanks!" I said. "Have a good day ma'am!" He said walking away. "You too." I said starting to close the door. I looked at the card that was tied to the flowers with silver ribbon. It read: "Flowers for someone just as beautiful as you!" -Justin. 'Wow, Justin send flowers? How cute?' I thought to myself.

I showed my grandma and she was just as surprised as me. We sat down and enjoyed our dinner together with my grandparents telling stories of when they were young. Afterwards I had to clean dishes so I helped and then we all watched tv together. We are watching Family Feud when the phone rang. "I'll get it! Maybe it's mom!" I said jumping up with joy and tuning to the kitchen. I picked up the phone. "Hello?" I said. "Hey, it's Justin." He said. "Oh hi. What's up?" I asked. "Wow. Are you not excited to hear me?" He asked. "No I was just hoping it was my mom but talking to you is great too." I said. "Oh good! So I was wondering if you would maybe like to go hang out at the beach tomorrow?" He asked nervously. "Um sure, promise me you won't hit me with a volleyball again though." I said chuckling. "I promise." He said laughing. "Great, what time?" I asked. " How about around 11:30, we can go out and eat first." He said. "Awesome! I can't wait!" I said. "Cool, it's a date!" He said smirking and I could tell by the tone in his voice. "Sure, why not?" I said back. "Alright well, I got to go because we're watching TV." I said. "Ok well I'll leave you to it." He said. "Ok bye." I said. "Bye, see you tomorrow." He said. "See you!" I said and then hanging up.

I headed back to the living room. "Was it your mom?" Grandma asked. "No it was Justin. He wants to go to the beach together tomorrow at 11:30. I'd that ok?" I asked. "Of course, you're not some little kid anymore. I'm not your mother." She laughed. I laughed too. "Ok thanks so much grandma." I said. I hugged my grandma then my grandpa, and decided to go to bed early. I headed up stairs and looked at my phone. I totally forgot about it when I left down stairs for dinner. I picked it up and looked at it. I had a text from mom. It read: "Sorry hun, I got caught up at work late tonight, I'll call tomorrow. Love you! Goodnight!" I texted back: "Ok, love you too! Goodnight!" I also realized that I got a text from Justin. It read: "Hey! Can't wait for tomorrow! Goodnight beautiful!" I texted back: "Aww me too, can't wait! Goodnight!" I laid my phone down and crawled under the covers. I fell asleep fast. I couldn't wait tomorrow.
