It was a rather normal day for Lucy, having woken herself up as the sun dipped above the old homes around her own. Her morning routine consisted of a short shower, brushing her teeth, getting dressed, putting up her hair, and preparing herself for a day of putting up with Happy and Natsu..
"Good morning!" She called out to the already bustling guild quarters, a groggy smile on her face.
"Lucy!" Natsu yelled back to the woman, nearly crushing her under his excitement for the day. Before he could ramble on about the details of a new job he wanted, Gray seemed to pop up out of nowhere with a new argument.
Lucy was just about to sit down at the bar and order one of Mira's delicious strawberry milkshakes when the doors to the guild almost flew off the hinges, a woman with similar appearance to Mira standing in the center. Her hair was much shorter than Mira's but the resemblance was clear. The first thought to run through Lucy's mind at the sight of the figure, 'Wow, She's really pretty, I guess all of Mira's family is like that..'
The sight of Natsu running to hug her planted a seed of Jealousy inside the blonde. But it wasnt just Natsu.. Everyone had their attention on her, while Lucy barely knew the arriving girl. Not a single person even cared to introduce her to who she would later find out was Lisanna, excluding her from even the reunion.

Did he really mean what he said..? How can one sentence ruin me like this? He made my life hell, absolute hell, and it wasn't even my fault.. Natsu had stopped speaking to me all together after the return of Lisanna, something that ate away at my insides each moment I went without his laugh.. I knew what was coming, over those weeks it was impossible not to know that one day I'd be on my own.
His words.. They were so simple and yet they felt like glass in my chest.
"Hey.. Lucy, We.." With how many people had quieted down to listen to the new guild drama, it seemed like Natsu had grown nervous of his decision. "We decided that you're out of the team.."
"Oh.." Was that disappointment in my voice? Or heartbreak.. "That's fine.. I.. Please, just tell me why.." I quietly asked, not yet looking him in the eye, I couldn't. I felt weak and small, with so many people staring at me. I felt like I would break if I moved an inch at all.
My question only seemed to harden his resolve, a new confidence entering his words now that he had gotten the announcement out.
"You're.. You're weak, Lucy. I'm sorry but it's true. We can't keep carrying your weight just because you need rent money! We need money too, and we could get a lot more of it on our own.." His hands landed on his hips, and I noticed that Happy wasn't on his shoulder like usual. Maybe he didn't want to be around for this discussion, he's too kind to do something like this. "That's not all.." When he started again, I couldn't help but look up. "Now that Lisanna's back, we're putting her on the team."
"What? There's no limit to the amount of people on a team, you can keep us both!" I tried to fight for my place among them, and I had no idea why.. They hurt me so much, why was I fighting to stay valuable to them?
"We can't keep track of that many people, Lucy. You're out, that's just how it is. It's easier for the rest of us if you just let it go."
"Erza... Gray?" I looked up from the wooden counter of the bar, clinging to whatever friendships I had with the two before this, praying they would have some kind of objection.
"We're sorry, we really are.." The tone of Gray's voice gave away his true thoughts. He wasn't sorry, Erza wasn't sorry.. And Natsu wasn't sorry, no matter what they said.
