High School Love

Love At First Sight Part 1

Brandon's POV

I was sitting on the bus when we got to the last bus stop. At the last bus stop was a beautiful girl talking to her mom. By the time she got on the bus I couldn't stop staring at her. I wanted to talk to her so badly, but I couldn't because she had her headphones in and also because I was nervous. One thing you should know about me is that I am never nervous to talk to someone especially if it's a girl.

We got to school and I still haven't had the courage to talk to her. Her locker was only 3 lockers down from mine. When I finally had the courage to talk to her I was stopped by my brothers Tyler and Roger and they started talking to me. At the same time she and her friends started walking past talking and laughing about something. Her voice and laugh was like music to my ears and I just couldn't get enough of her laugh and voice. My brothers must of notice me staring at her because Tyler asked me if I liked her. I answered him by saying, "I don't know yet but I find her interesting."

The bell telling us to o to first period just went off telling us to get to first period of the day. I notice she wasn't in my first period and I was actually kinda sad but I had my friend Troy in this class. I had asked him if he knew what her name is. He answered me by saying that he doesn't know her name, but he did end up asking me why I wanted to know what her name is. My answer to him was the same thing I said to my brother, "I don't know but I find her interesting.

It's time to switch and go to second period and Troy was in this class with me again because he has most of his classes with me. When I walked into the class and I was happy when I noticed I had her in the period with me. The teacher was taking attendance and had called out the name "Kathryn Byers" and she raised her hand. The teacher had asked if she goes by anything else and she answered by saying Katie. After she said that her name was stuck in my head and I couldn't get it out of my head. I got to sit behind her and I guess I was staring again because Troy had nudged saying, "Stop staring she might find it weird." In the meantime, Troy and I must've been focused on each other because we didn't realize that Katie and her friends had turned around and started looking at us.  So Troy had to ask, "What are you guys staring at?" Katie's answer to him was, "You guys were staring at each other for 5 minutes straight and we have a paper to do that is right in front of you." We started the paper, but I was still staring at Katie while we were working on it.

The bell went of telling us it was time for us to switch to our third period. When I got in the classroom I noticed I didn't have this class with Katie. Troy wasn't in this class with me either, but my other friend, Joseph but he goes by Judd, was in this class with me. He rides the same bus as me so he also saw Katie this morning. While we were talking I had asked him if he knew anything about her. His answered me by saying, "Yeah I know some stuff of her because we knew each other when we were in elementary and I went to Harrison East before I came to Harrison North. We are still friends and why do you want to know anyways?" My answer to his question was, "I was just wondering because she seems interesting to me." After I had said that he said that Troy and I can sit with him because he is going to be sitting with Katie and her friends at lunch.

Right after he had said that in was time for lunch because the bell that went off was the lunch bell. When I got to my locker to put my stuff away because we can't have it in the cafeteria I saw Katie at her locker talking to her friends. I got down to the cafeteria finally and saw Judd, Troy, and some of our other friends sitting with Katie and her friends. My seat was right in front of Katie which was also on the edge of the bench. The whole time we were making jokes and I have to admit Katie and her friends have some pretty good jokes and that made me like her even more. During lunch I also saw Katie and her friend, Zoe I think, texting each other but I don't what they were saying but whatever it was it made Katie embarrass and blush beat red and her friends laugh because they knew what they were talking about. After that Katie had something to Zoe to make her embarrassed and beat red and their friends laugh because they saw what Katie texted Zoe. 

It was time for us to go to the period after lunch and that is also when my brothers switch classes. They just had to try and embarrass me when Katie walks past because Tyler had said, "Hey Brandon ain't that the girl you like right there?" I told him to shut up while Roger was laughing to hard it looked like he was crying. When I finally reached my locker I notice that Katie was still a little beat red from launch and also because of my brother probably. I wanted to talk to her about what my brother said but I couldn't get the courage to do it so I just went to my class. "I guess luck is on my side today", I thought to myself because I have Katie in this class and I get to sit with her at the table because they're assigned seats  in groups of two. I has happy about that, but I still can't talk to her because I don't have the courage to do it. 

That's how the whole day has been going. I have Katie in all of my classes besides two of them, but I do have either Judd or Troy in my classes and they tell me stuff that they know about Katie. Anyways, it was the end of the day and the last bell just went off telling us that it was time for us to get on the buses. On the bus I sit in the very front and Katie sits two seats behind me, but sometimes I sit in the seat that is in front of her which is also a crossed from my brothers. I saw Katie and she was talking to a bunch of people, but once the the bus driver started driving the bus she put her headphones in so she can't hear anyone talking. One time I saw her take her headphones out because she started talking to Judd. Well, more like cussing him out and I have to admit it was funny because those two were just going back and forth cussing each other out. On second thought, I was starting to become kinda jealous because Katie and Judd seem REALLY close together. 

My face must've shown I was getting jealous because and Troy were all, "Aww is Brandon jealous of Judd because he's getting close to Katie?"

"Will you guys shut up before they hear you!" After I said that some kid that's in seventh grade had said, "I think they already heard you." He was right when he said that because all of us notice that Judd and Katie were staring at us. Judd was smirking at Katie while she was glaring at him and blushing. All of the sudden Katie started smirking and texted something to Judd that made him stop smirking and it was his turn to glare at Katie. After 10 minutes of them glaring and smirking at each other is was time for Katie to get off the bus since we were at her stop already. Even when she was getting off she was smirking, Judd was glaring at her, and I was still staring at her. 

When we got to my bus stop it consisted of my brothers, Troy, and his brother, Shawn teasing me the whole time. When we got to my house Tyler, Roger, Troy, and Shawn were still teasing me and then my younger brother came through the door and heard my them teasing me so he decided to ask, "Why are you guys teasing Brandon?" After he said that at the same time all four of them said, "BRANDON HAS A CRUSH ON A GIRL!" When they said that Austin, my younger brother, started laughing really hard that he was crying and rolling on the ground. After about 5 minutes of them laughing we decided to walk around town. 

While we were walking through town we ended up running into Hailey, Troy's girlfriend, and some of her friends. We asked her what she was doing and she told us that she was waiting for another friend to show up. While we were talking for about 5 minutes someone sneaked up behind Hailey and scared her. When the person started laughing Hailey must of known who it was because she turned around and yelled, "I'm going to hurt you!" While she was chasing the person around we where trying to figure out who it was and after awhile the person started running to us again and when the person got to us they hid behind me. When she ran behind me I smelled her perfume and it smelled familiar. Hailey said that she would get them later and asked the person to take their hood down so we would know who it was. "Just my luck", I thought. The person was Katie and when they saw who it is Tyler, Roger, Troy, and Shawn smirked at me while Hailey and her friends smirked at Katie.
