Chapter 1
Harry's P.O.V
I can't believe I might actually make it to seventeen! The way the Dursley's treat me, I thought I would already be dead.

I looked at the clock to see the time.I have 20 minutes before 12:00.

I looked out the window and saw several owls coming in this direction.Some of them had packages.When they flew in,they dropped their things and flew back out.Before they left,I gave them a owl treat.

I picked up one letter,and it was from Ron!

Mate,
'Mione and I didn't mean it.We're sorry.Can we still be friends?
Ron
That traitor! He's actually trying to apologize for what he did!I would never forgive him or Granger for what they did!
Flashback
I was walking down a corridor in Hogwarts looking for Ron and Hermione. I was still looking for them when I saw them down the hallway.I started to walk to them,but then I heard what they were saying.

"You know, I really tired of having to deal with that Potter brat!He is nothing but an attention seeking whore!" Ron spat.

"I know!No wonder why Dumbledore wants him dead.But,we have to deal with him if we want more money out of his vault.He also has to marry Ginny and have a heir before we can kill him,but before all that he has to kill You-know-who.That's all he's good for." Hermione said.

I can't believe it.They-they betrayed me!

They turned around to walk away,but they didn't see me.

I took off running down the hallway.I had tears running down my face.I kept running and running until I ran into someone.

"Watch it,Potter!Wait, why are you crying?"

I looked up to see Draco Malfoy with Blaise and Pansy. I should've accepted his friendship in first year.Then,I wouldn't be alone like I was that day.

I dragged them off to the ROR and told them everything. They were beyond seething because of what Dumbledore was planning,but they comforted me.They even offered to be friends. I accepted.

Ron and Hermione saw me walking with them when left. We had a row about me hanging out with some "bloody snakes".I didn't let them know I heard what they said, I needed that information to bring them down later.Afterwards, they took me to the dungeons and the slytherins, even Snape, accepted me.And I guess that I am part of the silver trio,or should I say quartet. We didn't get enough time together,but we will soon. At least I still have Luna,Neville, Fred,George,Draco, Blaise,and Pansy as good friends.I told them everything, even about the abuse.I don't want to fight for the light.All they do is use me.I'd rather fight for the dark.
Flashback over

I threw that letter to the side and picked one with a package. It was from Draco,Blaise,and Pansy.

Dear Harry,
Happy Birthday! We hope you are well with those ghastly muggles.We can't wait to see you soon!
P.s. Be careful opening your present.
The rest of the silver quartet

What would I do without them?I looked at package they got me.I started to open it slowly. When it was opened,I looked inside and saw the most beautiful sleeping snake I have ever saw.Her scales were black with some white here and there.Her scales were shiny.

She was now awake.'Hello' I said in parseltounge.She turned her head to me. Her eyes were an acidic green.

'Hello child.Are you my master?'

'Yes.What is your name?'

'You have to name me,child.What is your name?

I stopped to think about what to name her,then it hit me.

'My name is Harry,and I am going to call you Nyx.You may go back to sleep if you wish.'

'Thank you,Harry.'

Nyx went back to sleep. I decided to go through the rest of the letters and packages.I got a box of new items from Weasley Wizard Wheezes and some sweets from Nev and Luna.Just an average birthday for me.

I looked at the clock.11:59.And I had ten seconds to go.All of a sudden, pain erupted through my body.Next thing I knew, I blacked out.

I woke up with a massive headache. I wondered what happened.For some reason,something told me to go look at a mirror.I looked at the mirror in my room,and almost screamed.The reason why is because I looked different.

My hair had lengthened out to my mid-back.It is midnight black with fiery red tips.My eyes were as green as the killing curse and looked as if there were a ring of fire around it.The lashes were long and thick.They were big and looked innocent,yet mischievous.

My body changed in so many ways.I grew to about 5'6.My waist narrowed and my hips widened, making me curvy.My lips were full and slightly pouted.

Then,there is the extreme changes.On top of my head were two fox ears,and behind me was a big fox tail.I had fangs and claws as well.

As I was looking at myself,the Dursley family bust in through the door,startling me out of deep thought.
