brennan's pov:
"wow guys way to be subtle" i told alex and kyle annoyed
"sorry" they both said in unison, but they didn't really mean it.
annie was amazing. i don't think i've ever met a girl so perfect. i couldn't help but keep thinking of her. i snapped out of it when alex suggested we should go upstairs. i agreed and we headed back up to my room. that's when i noticed something. when i looked out my bedroom window, there was a grey and blue themed bedroom in the window from the house next door. that was annie's house. i wasn't sure if if was annie's room or one of her siblings, but there's a large chance it's annie's. i kept an eye out. i saw a brown haired, short girl walk past the window. she sat by it and looked out of it. it was annie. i didn't want her to notice me so i went back to hanging out with my friends
annie's pov:
i stared out my window and watched for brennan. he was talking to his friends up in his room and laughing. i hope it wasn't about me. i noticed brennan on his phone. then i got a text. it was from brennan
b: hey annie!
a: hi!!
b: what's up?
a: nothing really wbu? (i didn't want to admit i was currently stalking him)
b: hanging out w/ alex and kyle. hey i wanted to ask you something
a; sure
brennan's pov:
truthfully, i was going to ask annie if she wanted to go out sometime. i chickened out. alex kyle and i were going to go walk to the closest pizzeria anyway. i decided i'd ask her to come because im too much of a wimp to go out with her alone.
b; wanna come get pizza with alex, kyle and i?
a: okay. when should i meet you guys?
b: we'll pick you up on the way
a: and what time will that be? 😂
b: 6:30ish
a: okay! see you then :)

she's adorable
annie's pov:
i'm super nervous to do this. i don't even think katie's going. it'll just be me and them. what will my parents think about me going to eat with 3 guys? since it's only 5 right now and dinner just got ready at my house, ill eat with my family and then probably just get a coke or something with them.
"annie come eat!!" my mom called from downstairs
"coming!!" i yelled back
i ran downstairs to eat dinner. we were talking awhile. the normal dinner talk. we talked about how school was going, test grades, you know that stuff when the conversation stopped i decided i'd tell about my little pizza "date"
"hey, a few friends invited me to go get pizza with them. can i go?" i asked
"which friends?" my mom asked me suspiciously
"some new ones. actually katie's twin and his friends."
"will katie be there?" hayley asked
"none of your business?"
hayley looked down at her plate disappointedly
"sorry" i said sympathetically
"with that attitude i don't know if i want you to go" my dad said
"dad the only reason you are saying that it's cause they're guys!!!
"annie's right" my mom said
"she's going to be fine mom. shes 15 now. i hung out with girls when i was 15?" caleb argued
"see?!!!!"
"okay fine. you won't even be hungry!" my mom said "be back at 7:45"
"it's fine i won't really eat. thank you!!!!"
i got up to clear my plate. as i got up and passed caleb, i whispered an excited "thank you!!" to him. he nudged me with his elbow as a sign of "no problem"
it's now 5:52. that means i have 38 min to get ready. i went over the loose curls in my hair, changed my outfit, and reapplied my makeup. it was 6:24. a few minutes later the doorbell rang.
*ding dong*
"bye!!" i yelled to my family sitting in the living room
i walked out the door seeing all of them outside. they said hi and i said hi and we walked through town to the nearest pizza parlor
"where's katie?" i questioned
"oh she's sleeping" brennan answered "is that okay?"
"oh yep thats fine!" i said reassuring him
we talked the whole way down. they were super fun to be around. we arrived and ordered our food. i only got a salad and a water.
"why do you eat so healthy?" kyle said in disgust
i shrugged my shoulders and laughed at this.i sat next to brennan and alex and kyle sat on the other side of the booth. i had butterflies in my stomach. we were enjoying our food until i realized who had just walked in...
