Nevaeh( Aurore Christelle Durand's) pov
Some call my kind creatures of the night. Others call us simply, killers, leeches, bloodsuckers. Then, there are those who flatout refuse to acknowledge our existance. We get kicks off of the first two, mostly because they have it right for the most part. The last one is how we prefer it. Incognito. Non-existant.
So yeah, creatures of the night, bloodsuckers, blah blah blah. That's exactly what we are but theres a catch. What if my kind was different, We don't kill people, we blend in the crowd, sunlight didn't hurt us or expose us for what we are? What if, instead we were the good guys? Protectors, almost like guatdian angels? Is that beleivable? Or, are we all really just monsters?

I could tell she was drunk, the way she slurred her words. The way she stumbled out of the bar. She tried effortlessly to get her keys into the lock of her cardoor. I slightly laughed. It was cute, but no way I was going to let her drive home. "What the hell are you doing jocelyn?" I asked as I aproached her. She jolted a bit, stared at me drunkenly for a second, then yelled, "I am going home. Whats it to ya?" I sighed at her tone, then put my hand over hers. "You can't drive." I hardened my tone as well. I pulled her hand from the door and took the keys from her. "So you got any better suggestions buddy?" She leaned against the car and crossed her arms. Snow began sticking wildly to her hair, I hated kentucky for this one reason, 65 degrees one day, covered in snow the next. Jocelyn will get sick though if i don't do something quick. "I do." This time I shocked myself. I must be insane! I had never drove a car before, but years of watching gave me some sort of a clue what to do.
I unlocked the doors and coaxed Jocelyn to lay down in the backseat. What did all those letters mean on the gear thingy? P,R,D,1,2? Uh....uh.... I sighed leaning back into the seat. This is going to be harder than i thought. At one point in time, I was one of the top students at my school in Paris, France, but now I felt so....dumb. I turned the key, like I seen lilith's husband do back when cars were first invented. The car started up then. I knew it had to either be R or D because when Roland put the gear thing on P it made the vehicle stay in place. Maybe P meant place? I pressed the pedal on the left and moved the gear thing to the R. We began rolling backwards. My eyes grew wide, and i slammed my foot on the left pedal nearly breaking it. Okay maybe R stood for roll backwards. I once more pressed the left pedal gently moving it to the D. D for 'dumbasses always pick this one last.' I laughed a little too loud at that. Jocelyn tried to sit up but only fell backwatds into the seat again. I let up off of the petal and pressed the right. We began to move forward. Okay, D stands for don't roll backwards.
I got her home, but not without almost wrecking a few times. Whoever invented cars(Henry Ford, you jerk) seriously could not have made it any more difficult. I carried her weightless body to her bed and tucked her in. Adrix, her boyfriend, wasn't home and again I was temped to lay down beside of her and hold her like I use to, but i knew I couldn't. The small stings shooting throughout my entire right side reminded me of that fact while I was carrying her, but oh how I miss her. I miss her hugs most of all.

Jocelyn Reeds pov
It was the 18th day of November when I first noticed her, but I would come to know that sje had been there all along. It was the night of my 21st birthday and I had just left the bar, more than tipsy. Sheets of snow had been pouring down blanketing my black 2002 mazda. I struggled drunkenly to get my car key ibto the lock scraping gently around the sides failing to do so.
"What the hell are you doing Jocelyn?" The voice somewhat startled me, it was familiar, stearn, authorative. "I'm going home! What's it to ya?" I shot back at the blurry figure beside of me. I'm not the nicest person when i've had a few drinks. To put it bluntly, I was a bitch. The voice stayed calm, but the tone hardened. "You can't drive." A cold hand covered mine and then she pulled my hand from the door taking my keys. I huffed annoyedly, "So, got any better suggestions buddy?" "I do."
A/N I hope hope hope people will like this story. I have worked so hard on it. Tell me what you think.
