Today we would head out for negotiations. I glared at my father and entered the stables. I could see a stable boy trying to put a side saddle on Finn. He was tossing his head and throwing a fit.

"Finn!" I shouted, causing my horse and everyone it the stable to stop and look at me.

The servants bowed and continued work as usual. I glared and my stallion who huffed and tried to spit at the servant boy, but it just came out as drool. I smirked and took the saddle from the boy and place it on the crooked saddle pad, that some how managed to stay on. I straightened it, and Finn glared at me.

"You said you would be fine with a saddle." I said to him. "If you don't like that, I doubt you will like the bridle at all."

Finn sighed and let my tighten the girth on him. I slid on the breast collar and the bridle. My suspicions were correct, Finn hated the bride. He snorted and fussed, but quieted down when I glared at him. He huffed and I lead him out, he was very beautiful in his tack.

"You look very nice Finn." I said smiling.

Finn picked up his gait and trotted behind me, with his tail flying out behind him, looking almost patriotic. I laughed and he took bouncer strides. A servant held Finn, and another servant helped me up. I slid on, and fitted my leg over on the side saddles bar. I tapped my legs against Finn, but he did not budge.

"Come on Finn, move!" I said.

He pinned his ears back but walked forward. I kicked him again, and he stopped and bit my foot.

"Hey!" I said smacking his nose.

He snorted at me.

"Do you not respond to leg pressure?" I said raising an eyebrow, and rubbing my foot.

He whinned.

"Ok, then, trot Finn."

Finn did as he was told, worked a smooth trot that barely bounced.

I smiled, "I figured you out." I said, and we joined the group.

Servants, packed small bags onto the backs of the saddles on our horses. We were bidded a farewell from the staff, and we headed into the forest.
