Chapter 9:
"Jade!" I screamed at the curly haired cutie who was walking away from me faster than usual. Luckily she turned around, I didn't like to scream because it brought a great deal of unwanted attention my way. I didn't like attention. Unless it was from him...
"What do you want?" she asked a bit too harshly.
"I have something for you." I beamed back. I took out the other friendship bracelet and tied it onto her beautifully tanned hand.
"Oh wow Perrie. Thanks!" she smiled her adorable smile. Then she got serious all of a sudden.
"Perrie? Can I ask you something as a friend?"
"Yeah sure."
"I saw you -
"I can't hear you Jade. You're talking too quietly." Jade looked around making sure no one was listening and then said
"I saw you and Mr Malik get physical."
"WHAT!?" I blurted out loudly, not realising we were standing in a jam packed corridor.
"What?" I whispered, dragging her away to the toilets.
"I meant, I saw him kiss your cheek earlier." she whispered back.
Tension bounced off of me and I laughed away the fear that she had planted on me.
"Oh that! I gave him a friendship bracelet too so he did that - I felt myself flush - to show a kind gesture." I explained, still amused.
"You gave him a friendship bracelet? Phew! I was thinking something totally illegal!"
"You dirty minded girl!" We both burst out in laughter.
It was a Friday and English was finished so it was time to go home. I stepped out of the huge glass building and hurried way to the red car parked opposite the college.
"Put your seat belt on baba." my mum insisted. She was very strict and consistent, kinda like my Psychology teacher Rebecca. I turned left to grab the seat belt when out of nowhere I caught Zayn's reflection on my mum's shiny car window. I looked outside to see any sign of him but there were only bunch of students scattered around the entrance. I rubbed my eyes in bewilderment but his reflection was still shining bright on the glass.
"Perrie! Would you hurry up please!" I put my seat belt on quickly and kept my eyes fixed on the wonderful sight of Zayn. Was it my illusion or imagination? I don't know but his features were even perfectly portrayed now. Especially those brilliant brown eyes of his which had casted a magical spell on me...
We reached home soon after. Sadly whatever had caused the reflection had disappeared. I ran upstairs to my bedroom and locked the door so no one could interrupt me in my free time. I turned on my laptop and clicked open the Twitter and Facebook page because I couldn't hold my emotions together any longer. They were erupting rapidly. I had to know more about him or else my heart will lose it's new found momentum. I typed in Zayn Malik, London, Hilton College as soon as the Facebook page loaded open. There was no entry. I tried Zayn Malik, London. Hmm... Better but no luck, Maybe he didn't have Facebook so I tried the same trick on Twitter next but unfortunately no luck there either. Urg! I never felt this disappointed ever!
There was a tap on the door. Oh man! Why did someone always have to inerrupt me when I was doing something very important!
"Who is it? Jonnie it better not be you!"
"It's me Perrie."
My world started collapsing and spinning around me. Round and round and round and round -
"Perrie?" Her annoying voice echoed once again.
"Er. Coming. Just getting changed Selena." I replied back to my step sister.
"Okay. I'll wait." the terrible voice spoke again! I quickly changed out of my uniform and put on the closest thing I could find. After putting on the purple dress, I did my hair up into a high ponytail and slowly, dreadfully opened the door. Two arms flung around me as soon as I did and didn't let go until I did the same.
"Hi Perrie." she smiled her stupid smile.
"Hey..." I lamely welcomed her back. Why was she being this friendly to me. Especially after what she did back in South Shields...
"I hope we can forget the past and move on." What the hell did she mean?
"Erm... Okay sure..."
"Great!" I looked at her. She was beautiful alright but she was also the most cunning and crude person I have ever met! She was the reason everyone in my old school hated me because somehow I had stolen her boyfriend. I don't even know what he looked like. Selena was a evil piece of work. No joke! All I could do was smile back at her awkwardly. She had brown eyes too but they did not have that right touch like he did. I hated her eyes, too full of confidence - something I lacked majorly in...
