CHAPTER 8: SELF NOTE: NEVER STEP OUTSIDE YOUR BOX

Mikayla POV:

The presenters finish off the show and say their goodbyes. I wave my hands frantically at the cameras and paint a big smile on my face. This whole interview has been really weird, for starters Chanyeol and Kai don't remember me and second Chanyeol was continuously staring at me and third CHANYEOL WAS STARING AT ME SO MUCH. I would always catch him but not make it obvious that I'm trying to catch him because well I didn't want him to stop. Let's be honest if an EXO member who is your biase is staring at you, would you want him to stop? Didn't think so. I'm still bit upset that they didn't recognise me but then again they do see a lot of fans and people so what makes me so special for them to remember me. I wanted to mention that they have met me before but I don't really see the point because they will probably forget me again. Anyways I'm really happy that I did this interview not because I got to promote my new show that I only found out I was having yesterday. KBS called me over to their headquarters and made a deal with me to be a host on a show with two other girls, I told them that I don't wish quit being a doctor so they said we only have to release one episode per week. So I get to do the job that I love and make some extra money. Oh yeah where was I? Oh right I'm also happy that I did the interview because I got to show people the real me not the pretty girl on the magazine, I didn't want people to see me as 'Korea's personal whore' as Jung would say.

"Er excuse me" I turn around to see who was talking to me and to my surprise it is Chen, "can you sign this magazine please?" He hands over the magazine with me on the cover. I look at the magazine and then back at him surprised, "it's for a friend" he scratches the back of his head and gives me a small smile. Um I wonder who the friend is.

"Not my best photo" I comment making him giggle and to be fair it's not, I look too fake and too staged I would've rather made funny faces in my Saturday clothes.

"Ah Chen hyung here you are" Kai approaches him and puts his arm around his shoulder, I look behind him to see whether Chanyeol is coming too but no he is talking to one of the station managers. "Hi nice to meet you" he bows and smiles at me and I return the kind gesture still a bit upset that they don't remember me.

"Mikayla" the station manager calls me over, I begin to walk towards him and Chanyeol who is just staring at his shoes. I bow at both of them the minute I get to them and they return the gesture, "Chanyeol and two other EXO members will be on your first show" he says. I nod in agreement and look over at Chanyeol who is still looking at his shoes, like damn boy is their another plant on your shoes? Kai and Chen walk over to us after the manager leaves with curiosity written on their faces.

"What's happening?" Chen asks looking at Chanyeol who has finally looked up from his shoes but is still avoiding my gaze. Why is he avoiding me? Does he not like me or I don't know, I'm so confused.

"We are going to be on her show, well me and two other members" he answers Chen's question, Chen turns to face me and gives me a huge smile catching me off guard because I didn't think that we were that close.

 "Ah I wish Sehun could come" Chen slouches and puts on a frown. Yes Sehun, he would remember me, he was the one who was with me for the longest and he even touched my mouth well to stop me from talking but still. He would definitely remember me, he has to.

"Ah yes Sehun" I blurt out without thinking, they look at me all confused especially Chanyeol. Oh now you want to look at me, "I can't wait to meet the co writer of Bad" I attempt to save myself, Kai and Chen seemed to have brought it but Chanyeol continues giving me the confused look forcing me to avoid his gaze. I don't want to avoid his gaze, I want to get lost in his eyes. "Anyways I'm gonna go" I point in the opposite direction attempting to get away from them before more awkward words come out of my mouth. I bow at them and they return the gesture and wave goodbye to me before I begin to walk away. The first shooting is in two days which means I have two days to prepare myself from when Sehun exposes the fact that I am the one and only Mikayla that they met weeks ago.
