As Vidya reached her home, the front door was open. She hastily entered the house, got inside n found that the TV was on. She looked around for the signs of her husband and as she entered the lobby, her heart skipped a beat. Her husband was lying unconscious on the couch, bleeding profusely. Vidya became hysterical: her voice trailed into a low whistle. She took his head in her lap n called his name repeatedly. Suddenly she felt her feet sticky n in the dim light of the room she discovered that it was covered with blood. O gosh! She had actually walked through a pool of blood that had formed in the room near the refrigerator where he tripped over, lost his balance and banged his head against the wall whereupon, as the light started going dim,  he managed to feel his way all along up to the couch where he finally fell unconscious. Vidya put his head in her lap n called her name again and again frantically. Soon she also blacked out n fell unconscious beside her husband....it was after ten minutes or so that she regained her senses n as she opened up her eyes, she tried to size up the surroundings. Where was she? Was she at office or at home? However it didnt take her long to recall the near past n then again befuddled and dazed, she started waking up her husband who was far from this destructive world..lost in the realm of unconscious...far from pain, concern and matters of daily concern.......
