1 Year Later..

I clasp the bow in my hand, and slither my way through the twists and turns of trees and vines. As soon as I hear a slight crunch of leaves, I ready my bow, and prepare to let the arrow fly. A sound of a twig snapping catches my attention instantly. I lean against a tree, and pull the arrow right back. More crunching sounds. And more. I see something in the distance, and my arrow nearly flies. Nearly. Until I realise who was stood there. I draw the arrow back through and put it with my other ones. As the figure gets nearer and nearer, I realise a smile has appeared on my lips. Will. I think, and smile more. "Hey stranger!" He says, and puts out his hand sarcastically. I raise an eyebrow, grab his hand and pull him into a massive hug. "Hey," I say, not breaking up the hug. We stand like that for a few minutes, Me nestled into his neck whilst he breathed lightly. Finally, we broke up the hug. "So.." I say, rocking on my feet. "So?" He repeats, raising an eyebrow. I chuckle. Will smiles, and grabs my hand. "Come on, Em." He pulls me along with him, all through the woods, my bow still clenched in my free hand. "Where are we going?" I whine. This causes him to laugh, and I huff. After what feels like hours, we come into a small Gap in the trees and vines. I hear the faint sound of waterfalls, and birds tweeting lightly. Will releases his hand from mine, and covers my eyes. "Right, no peeking, Em!" He says, strictly. I nod, and walk forward, His hands tightly covering my eyes. I feel vines swish against me, and I put my hands out in front of me. Finally, we stop. "Okay," He says. "You can open your eyes." His hands move away, and I slowly open my eye. Before me is a whole new side of the forest.

Butterflies dance around in the clear opening, a waterfall flows peacefully into a small pond, which fireflies roam around freely. Lanterns wait on the floor, ready to be lit and sent to a new life. But that wasn't it. A small feast was set out before me, lying on a tatty blanket. Stood in the middle of the blanket was Lizzy. Before I can say anything, she runs up to me and gives me the biggest hug ever. "Where have you been these days, hey Em?" She asked, breaking up the hug. I smile, and look at my surroundings once again. "This is amazing." I whisper, startled. A hand grabs my shoulder. "It was Lizzy's idea. She wanted you to have something special." Will said. "Well, its been a while." I say, and sit down on the fresh, evergreen grass.

We begin to eat, talking about random things. About how much we've missed each other. About our jobs. About the war. "Wait. You guys are fighting in the war because you're Hunters?" Asks Lizzy startled. I laugh at her Shock. "No, we're going to dance around the campfire singing songs about food." I say, sarcastically. We all laugh. It was good to have them here. Being a Huntress,I had to train almost everyday. All my spare time would be spent in the forest, or sleeping. But now, we have this time together. We stand up, and grab the lanterns. "Here's to nothing coming in between us." Says Will. We all hold hands and release the lanterns. They swish up into the sky. We sit back down, and watch them until they float out of sight. We sit back down, and continue with our evening. Lizzy and Will start Jokingly arguing about something. I smile, and realise. Lizzy was right. This war isn't going to fight itself. Which means that i'm going to have to fight in it. With Will. I lay on my back and look up the stars, sighing. Will and Lizzy stop and lye down either side of me. "I love you guys." Lizzy whispers. I smile. "We will be friends forever, right?" We nod. And we lye there, the only sound to be heard was the sound of our breathing. The waterfall flowing. Birds tweeting. And a huge rumble somewhere deep on my home..
