"If it looks like you we name him John, and if he looks like me we name him Metias," I gasp to Day who leans on the hospital bed which I am situated upon. We have been to the hospital too many times but this trip is for a good reason. "Alright. I think I can agree to that," Day replies running his hand through shorter hair than his teen aged years. Although it suits him I found it took some time getting used to. I also still call him Day instead of Daniel like everyone else. I finally let out one more gasp and I think I hear Tess say "There it is!" but I'm not sure. I hear crying and I look up to see Tess cradling a newborn baby with a tuft of dark hair and golden eyes. Metias it is. "I sure an glad it is a boy," Day playfully says but I barely hear him. I am focused on the baby. Tess hands him over to me and I immediately feel its strong heartbeat. Likes fool I just sit there and marvel. I can't do anything about it though.

Eventually we end up in the apartment Day and I share. I never let go of the baby the whole time but finally hand him over to Day. "Strong one he is," Day says quietly peering at Metias. "Day! You're a dad! And-and I'm a mom!" I exclaim as the realization hits me.
