BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

The sounds of my alarm awoke me from my slumber, I think for a moment.
". . ."
I look at the direction of my alarm clock.
". . ."
I look at the time, the time now is 6:24 AM
". . ."
I think for a moment once more and then this thought suddenly comes in  mind.

" I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL"

I exclaim as I jump out of bed quickly grabbing a towel as I run into the bathroom and into the shower.
After a good scrub and a few soothing rinses I wiped myself dry with my towel as I hurriedly but carefully put my clothes on. I put on a pair of blue jeans and a polo shirt but since the weather today is getting a bit cold I put on a red sweater over it so that I won't catch a cold. After taking my time pampering myself I put my eyeglasses on and proceed to the kitchen.

"Well shit I'll have to get something on the go"

I place a slice of bread in the toaster and impatiently wait for it to pop out.

A minute of silence passed.

TING!

I grab the toasted bread and shoved it in my mouth carefully as I reach for my backpack and walk out door, but I stop for a moment and go back in the house as I swallow my toast of bread and check if all the rooms and windows are shut.

Finally, when I have finished checking everything I walk outside and lock the the front door and I start walking the same pavement I walk to school.

It's always been a hobby as you call it it, of mine to make sure that things are in proper place, I don't know when it started, but I'm thankful of having it since I will be able to be aware if the house is left safe or not.

I might as well enjoy this time before I get into detention.

As I approach the school I notice that everyone is outside instead of being inside and having their classes, I approach my best friend Claude.

"Hey boi" I greet him happily.

"Eeyy it's dat boi!" He replied.

"How come y'all aren't inside and having classes?" I asked.

He shrugs. "They haven't opened the doors yet, but lucky you that they didn't, because if they did you'd already be late" he smiles and I smile back as well.

As some lower graders were going to attempt to break down the door, the principal, Miss Frank opened the door just in time causing the student to slip.

"Attention students, classes will be cancelled for this week due to the upcoming snow storm. All projects and homework will now be due til' Monday, please go home safely"

Students around Claude and me started celebrating.

"BOIII WE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN!" Claude exclaimed.

I smiled and agreed. "YEEE BOIII"

As everyone started walking home, some people in groups, some people walking alone, we too went with the crowd but parted ways from the crowd of students shortly.

"So what do you wanna since we got the whole week off, Claudio?" I asked him as we kept walking.

"Hmmm we must stop by our house first" he said in a heavy Mexican accent which made me laugh a bit.

"To your home it is!" I exclaimed as I pointed my finger forward while walking.

After a lot of walking, we finally arrived at Claude's house.

"Take off your shoes before coming in
please"

"Yep" We took our snow-covered shows off and placed them in the corner by the door inside and then we wandered deeper into the house.

I spotted Mrs. Williams and I greeted her and waved.

"Good morning Mrs. Williams!" I exclaimed happily.

"Oh! hello Dean! Aren't you two supposed to be in school?" She asked.

"No ma'am, classes have been cancelled for this week" I replied.

"You lucky little bastards" she smiled and laughed.

"We'll be upstairs, mom" Claude said.

"Alright, Come down if y'all are hungry" she replied.

Claude nodded at his mother with a smile on his face and we then climbed the stairs to his room.

"I got that new game that just came out" Claude said as he opened the door and entered, I followed behind him and closed the door behind me.

"Which one" I asked eager to know which game he had gotten.

Claude flashed around a copy of the game Dreadout:Keepers of darkness.

"Cool, when did you get it?" I asked.

"Just yesterday." He replied

"You wanna play?" He said as he turned on his Xbox 360.

"Oh god, You know how I suck at video games, I'll just watch you play"

I said as I sat down on the floor by his bed and leaned my back at his bed as he played Dreadout:Keepers of darkness.

We played for hours long until it was around lunchtime, we had lunch where Mrs. Williams cooked delicious lasagna and went back to gaming.

For hours and hours long I watched Claude play like a wild beast on it's killing spree.

We stopped playing during 9:00 in the night.

"It's getting dark, I should go now" I stood up and said.

"Mhm" Claude stood up as well.
"I'll walk you home" he volunteered.

"No it's too far, walk me to the door instead" I said laughing.

We made our way to the door, Claude waited for me to put my shoes on and opened the door for me.

"Thanks for the lunch bro" I said happily.

"No problem amigo" he said in a heavy Mexican accent which made me laugh.

"Well, I'll head on home, take care"I said.

"You as well oh and tomorrow ask your parents if you can sleep over, I'll download the movie suicide squad for us to watch" he said.

"You got it boi, then I'll be off, dean away!" I started walking home.

As I kept walking, I thought about Claude, My cheeks turned a bot red but then I shrugged it off and kept walking until I arrived home.
