{INTRO}
Hi! I'm Amanda Anderson, but people call me Manda. My age is 15 years young! I'm an emotional, weird, and fabulous girl who is obsessed with YouTube. I have beach blonde wavy hair and light brown eyes. A lot of people tell me that I'm gorgeous, but I just don't see it. The one who's been through it all with me is Chris. Chris Devin. He has seen me laugh, cry, sing, dance, mad, and all of the above. My mom owns a bakery that I go to everyday to help out. Now what about my dad? Sadly my father passed in a car accident. I never thought it was the truth though. I think it's just a coverup of what really happened. The pieces just don't fit together right. I have an adopted sister named Alex. She is a first grader and super annoying. Now that I've told you my life story let's get on with the real story.
•PART 1•
It was a late January day when Chris and I were walking down the hall to homeroom. I was cracking up because of something he said. We walked in and little to my surprise it's a zoo. I go to walk towards my friends Danielle and Zoe while Chris wanders over to his friends. I hear Zoe talking about the gossip. (As usual)
"Yeah! Scoop is Serena is totes crushing on Trevor and-"
"Oh hey Amanda!" Danielle cuts Zoe off.
"Come sit!"
I smirk knowing Zoe is pissed off. I sit down then hear my name being called from behind. So I turned around and then died. I DIED! ASDFGHJKL; My crush was the one calling my name! My crush Nick. Period. Lambrakis. Period. I felt my heart skip a couple beats.
"I'm loving the shoes" he smirks.
I look down at my feet and realize that I'm wearing my flower galoshes. *face palm* I think to myself. I forgot to change my shoes when I got to my locker. I felt my cheeks get hot and my heart started racing.
"Uh thanks" I said trying not to sound nervous. I heard some of the popular girls giggling. Nick Lambrakis is probably the most popular boy in our class. He is on the soccer team and actually a nice person unlike most of the pops. Sometimes he just acts better than everyone because of his friends. He is very good looking and super fit. Definitely out of my league. I am just in deep thought about how I probably totally blew my chances with Nick when...
"Nice going Manda!" I hear Zoe say sarcastically.
"Oh shut up" I say throwing a crumpled up paper at her. Zoe just snickers then goes into intense texting mode.
"So Dani how are you and Finn?" I ask Danielle. I knew that she was on and off with him but I just hope they make up their minds one day.
"Eh- Good I guess..." she responds
"I guess?!" I say obviously concerned. Maybe I sounded a little too concerned.
"Haha calm down Manda! We're fine it's just he's seeming to get too busy for me." She says amused and a little sad.
"I think you should dump his butt!" I say snapping my fingers in a Z formation. That made Danielle crack up.
"Oh Amanda," she says not really responding to my comment. Lucky for her the bell for first period started ringing so we couldn't continue the conversation. Zoe shoved her phone in her pocket. School was boring as usual.
After school I went to help at my moms shop as I always do.
"Hey honey" my mom says as I was entering the door of the shop. I go and give her a hug then put on my apron. I was nonchalantly making the cupcakes when my friend Mikey came zooming through the door.
"Amanda! I need to talk to you!" He says sounding out of breath and distressed.
"One moment" I call from the kitchen wiping the flour from my hands onto my apron. Then hurried to Mikey.
"I lost Loco" Mikey said choking up.
"Omigawd are you joking?" I say sympathetically.
"No..." he manages to spit out. He can't get anything else out. Loco is Mikey's dog that has been with him for 10 years. Since his scene at home is bad Loco has always been there for him.
"Well let's find him then! Why are we just standing here?" I said.
"Mom I'll be away for a little. It's Loco!" I called to my mom while taking off my apron.
"Thanks so much Manda! This means the world!" Mikey said. Now about Mikey. Mikey is my neighbor who goes to a private school and is hands down probably the smartest kid I know. He is also hilarious! His situation at home is bad though. Mikey's parents are always fighting and threatening each other. So he comes to our house a lot and my mom is his sub-mom.
