all in all John had to admit it, he had a lot of fun. but that call, it was still in the back of his head. even when Stu had decided to walk John back home.

"hey Johnny," Stu called and John snapped back. "you there?"

"what do you think?" John rolled his eyes and toyed with the keys in his pockets.

"honestly I have no idea," Stu shrugged and stroked John's hair softly. "who knows what goes on in your mind?"

"no one actually." John lied straight through his crooked teeth.

"well I'm determined to crack the Lennon code." Stu said and John laughed quietly.

"yeah, that's happening." John scoffed and jumped over the steps, two at a time.

in a matter of time, both men were up the stairs, Stu a little more out of breath than John, and were facing the door to the flat. at a loss for words, John nodded at Stu and the man blushed.

"so," he said and played with the keys in his hand. the only thing separating him and Ringo was this wooden door and Stu just wouldn't leave. "I guess this is goodbye."

"I presume so," Stu smiled. "well then, I'm needed elsewhere eh?"

"oh parting is such sweet sorrow." John rolled his eyes and turned his back to the lad, shutting his eyes until he heard Stu start to leave the hallway and go down the stairs.

he walked into the flat. it was dark, the lights were shut off and it seemed that Ringo was nowhere to be found. well, that is until he heard noise coming from a room. his room it seemed.

"what the fuck is he doing in my room?" John spoke aloud and tiptoed over to it. "Ringo! get out my room!"

but the man didn't seem to hear. John groaned and rushed over to the door, ear pressed against it to hear what in the hell Ringo could be doing in there.

"no listen, it's just that I don't know. how is it that I'm always last to catch on? you never told me he liked me!" John heard Ringo speak and he presumed he was on the phone.

"Ritchie?" John called out and he heard a small thud before the room went silent.

"oh hi Johnny!" the man stepped out of the room shyly, only his head was poking out and his eyes were wide, childlike.

"what are you doing in my room?" John sighed and crossed his arms over his chest.

"oh well, y'know," Ringo blushed and John groaned. "stuff."

"only Paul says y'know, what were you doing?" this was no time for bullshit and John was too tired to play these games.

"well, it was boring without you here," Ringo said and John ignored the way his heart fluttered. "sorry though, I'll leave."

"hey um can you wait, just for a bit?" John mumbled and grabbed Ringo's wrist gently.

"yeah, yeah it's fine." the older man nodded and let John squeeze into the room with him.

it was fairly warm, somehow the temperature rose when John felt his fingers skim across the man's hand. they sat across from each other, knees against the others and hands between their laps.

John sighed and ran a hand through his hair absentmindedly, ignoring the intense stare from the other lad. when he finally looked up, he was that Ringo was on his knees, a hand was on John's shoulder, and their faces were only a few centimeters apart.

"listen," Ringo whispered and searched in John's eyes for some emotion. "I'm just as confused as you. in these past days I've been conflicted, and I know you are too. but I think I've made my decision."

"what decision?" John was absolutely confused on what he had to say.

Ringo said nothing. he only moved closer and closed off the space between each other, almost falling between the space in John's legs. the auburn eyed man felt no hesitation as he gripped the man's hair tightly with one hand and tried moving him closer with the other. they pulled away momentarily and blushed when they saw what they'd done.

"well then," John laughed and pulled the man onto his lap. "it's a shame I can't enjoy this all the time."

"oh. oh." Ringo had almost forgotten completely about Stu.

"but, there's always a loophole around things." John smirked and the older man tilted his head to the side.

"a loophole? for this? I'm pretty sure this is cheating." Ringo said and moved around the bracelet on his wrist.

"yeah well this is all a dare. how about this: while I'm with Stu in public or close by, you have to be my "friend" and stuff, but, when he's gone we can do whatever we want." John bargained and he smiled when he saw Ringo start to contemplate the deal.

"well, I'll think about it." he winked and got off John's lap, only to press a shy kiss onto his lips before leaving the room.

John was left on the floor, dazed and confused. the week has gone by so fast and so far everything had been a confusing daze. who knew what'd be next if he kept this up?
