Chapter 1

My heart is racing, I can feel my blood pulsing through my veins hard and fast. I can feel the change quickly driving through my body, my inner animal awakening inside of me and forcing away all of my senses, I can't concentrate let alone barely breathe. The cold slowly creeping up through my limbs, slithering up my back and then finally consuming me whole. A blackness surrounds me, I'm alone and it's empty, except for the voices lingering in my mind. Memories of familiar voices swirling around in my head each one fighting to take my attention, lashing out venomous words, each one more painful than the next. "Who could love a freak like you? You shouldn't even be here, you shouldn't be a part of this pack. You're an abomination! A worthless half blood mutt..." I felt trapped, then voices started to quiet, slowly retreating but the words still freshly carved into my mind. I suddenly awake.
