"Need a ride?!" I heard a somewhat familiar voice call to me. I slowly turned around to find Jordan Smith in her hooptie of a car offering me a ride to my house. My mom had always told me to never get in the car with strangers, but I could tell she only had good intentions. There was just something about her that made me feel like I would be safe with her. My lifelong sense of good judgment hasn't failed me yet.

"Uh, sure" was all I was able to say. She found me. She was talking to me. She wanted to drive me home.

"Well come on then. Don't just stand there." She said smiling kindly to me.

I got in her car. I felt sort of awkward as Jordan watched me get in. The car was surprisingly clean with genuine leather interior.

"Were to?" She asked.

"You can just drop me off by Dallas Ranch middle school." I told her. I am a cautious person I don't what everybody knowing where I live. Jordan gave me a somewhat questioning look before nodding.

"That's right by Rite Aid. Uh, do you mind if I go inside for a minute to get an ice cream cone? I'll get you one too if you want. I just really want ice cream right now." She said with happily pleading eyes. How could I say no to free ice cream with Jordan Smith? I nodded to which she fist pumped before putting her car back in drive.

I sat in my room texting Jordan. Yeah, she gave me her number! Once we got into Rite Aid she started talking to me like we have been friends our whole lives. She is so comfortable to be around and I like how she is so comfortable with herself. In my head I consider that our first date, but in reality she probably doesn't even look at me that way. She was probably just trying to be nice. Which I appreciate because, I love ice cream and I like Jordan too.

"Text me if you ever need a ride or something" She said when she dropped me off in front of the school. I nodded before shifting my weight in the seat so could get out of the car.

"Uh" She mumbled, stopping me. I gave her a questioning look. "The least you could do is give me a hug or at least thank me" She said. Before I could tell her thank you she was pulling me in for a huge hug.

"You' welcome" She said. I felt that the hug lasted a little too long and I pulled myself away from her. For a second I thought I saw a look of embarrassment in her eyes.

"Bye" she said, not making eye contact. I said my good byes and got out of the car.

Once I got to my house I went straight to my room, closed the door, plopped dreamily on my bed and texted Jordan for three hours before she texted me that she was getting tired. I then texted her good night.

I know that shouldn't get too caught up in liking her. After all, she was one of the prettiest girls at school. She probably had half of the guys looking to get at her. If the other half of the guys weren't looking at her it was probably because those guys were gay.

I took a quick shower and got under the covers of my bed and waited for sleep to overtake me. Maybe another day just as fantastic as the one I had just had was on its way.

I was awakened by the sound of my phone buzzing against my nightstand indicating that I had a text message. I unlocked my phone to see that I had a text message from Jordan.

Good morning :)

I blushed at the message before quickly replying. The text woke me up, but I didn't care. Getting up earlier meant that I had more time to look pretty so I can impress Jordan. I dressed in my favorite loose fitting joggers and my freshest pair of Jordans. I styled my hair so that it was hanging over my shoulders, framing my face. After I finally got the wing of my eyeliner on my left eye to look somewhat descent, I took an overall look at myself. Damn I look good.
