Chapter 4: New friend

Lily's Pov:

The day seemed to go by very fast, I closed my eyes and I was already at 3rd period, Algebra. I looked around to see once again If Mason had this class with me, no sign of him. Just then a young looking skinny lady came in the room. She had a resting bitch face, ugly. "Hello students my name is Ms. Schmitt, welcome to math class." The whole class rolled their eyes, I heard clatter in the class room talking about how she was a rude teacher with no heart, I heard one girl say her sister used to have her and she gave her detention for tripping over her shoe.

Until I see something like that happen I'm not gonna judge her, I thought to myself. "Alright class I'm gonna do attendance then I will talk about my ground rules for the year." She said walking over to her desk and taking out the attendance sheet. Like my other teachers a list of kids were called, then my name was announced, I raised my hand she looked over at someone behind me, her eyes grew big. "Young Lady! There is no drinking of beverages in my classroom!" she exclaimed to the girl behind me "Sorry I didn't know." the girl responded, her tone made it seem as if she had no sense in actually being sorry. "Throw it away now." The teacher told her. "Wait let me finish it I didn't buy it to not drink it!" She said. "What's your name young lady?!" The teacher asked raising her voice. "My name is Isabella, call me Isa." She said. (Isa had blonde hair and wore dark clothes, quite an attractive girl, and she had confidence) "Well 'Isa' you just earned yourself a day of detention with me after school be here at 2:06." The teacher said. "Come on seriously!" Isa said as she walked over to the garbage throwing her drink away and completely missing the trash can. The drink still had some beverage left in it so all of the liquid went on the floor.

At this point Ms. Schmitt was furious. "Make that a week's worth of detention! Get the mop and clean up your mess!" Ms. Schmitt said. "Ok, damn.." Isa said under her breath. "You want a month?!" Ms. Schmitt said. "No ma'am" Isa said walking back to her seat. The rest of the class time was very silent nobody really talked anymore to avoid getting in trouble, just before the bell the teacher went over her rules. "No talking while I am, No drinks," she said looking towards Isa, "..,No phones unless I give you permission, No food, No getting out of your seat without being told to, and No kissing or make out sessions with your significant other, you'd be surprised how often I tell kids to keep their hands off each other, also the basic rules I shouldn't have mentioned, the ones you elementary teachers told you, no hands on each other, no touching peoples belongings, blah, blah, blah, you guys know the basics." Just then the bell rang and the whole class stormed out.

As Isa was on her way out the teacher came before her, "So I'll be see you back at my class at 2:05 correct?". "Yup." Isa responded with turning to me and rolling her eyes and walking out of the class room. I couldn't help but chuckle at the way she rolled her eyes at what the teacher was saying. "Are you laughing at me missy?" Mrs. Schmitt said, I guess over hearing me laugh. "Oh no sorry ma'am I was laughing at something that happened earlier this morning." I said lying straight to her old crusty face. "Okay, well try to contain your humor after my class." she said as I leave the class room heading to my final period.

On my way through the halls all the kids were doing something, some were playing on their phones, others were making out, some were just casually talking and then some, like myself were loners with no one to talk to or play with or even make out with, I needed to find some category. I walked to my locker to put my textbooks away, less wait for me to handle. I saw Isa walking alone, kind of like me, a loner. Her locker was right next to mine. I wanted to say hi, and get to know her but I don't know what to say. I got the confidence after giving myself a pep talk to talk to her. "Hi." I said to her. "Hey." She replied. "Sorry about you getting detention." I said. "Oh yeah, haha, that bitch thinks she can scare me with detention ooooo how scary." She said with a laugh. "So your not mad or scared what your parents will do?" I asked. "Hell no my parents don't give a shit, my mom is delirious to everything and my dad is usually on a business trip so I never get caught for the shit I pull." she said. "If I got a detention on the first day of school my mom would be furious with me." I said. "Then I guess our parents have different parenting styles." She said. "Yup.. so what's your next class?" I ask. "Umm,... gym." she said taking a look at her schedule. I take out my schedule too to see what I have next, coincidently I have gym as well. "Well, would you look at that I have gym next too." I said. "Cool we can walk their together." She said. "Cool lets go." I said.

We then both walked to gym together. This was one of the first times in a long time I felt as if I had found a friend, she may be a bad influence but she's a friend which seems like what I need right now.
