He had a bright grin on his face, making him look cartoonish along with his bright pink hair as he practically dragged his best friend into a store filled with hats. The mall  was the only place where one could find somewhere like this and, for the taller, it was heaven.

The shorter of the two neither liked or disliked the store. He was the laid-back type, or something of the sort. His younger friend always jokingly called him mom which was admittingly not as annoying as height jokes. It was always the worst when people assumed the other was older, simply because his hyung was so short.

Still, you can't just give up your best friend for that reason only.

When he was seven, the older would have certainly considered even the biggest argument as nothing. He would stick to his friend through thick and thin. He would say he knew better by the time they were both in university, but he doubted himself even as they went out together the day before their first year began.

The taller friend stuck to fashion norms. While there was certainly nothing wrong with it, it always annoyed the other that every store they entered was packed. He always teased his older friend about it. About how it was the shorter's one taste at being cool, and how he was lucky to be friends with him. With normal friends, it would be teasing.

With these two,  you can't be sure.

It wasn't like the younger was oblivious to the flaws in their friendship. The older of the two was sure that he was being taken advantage of. That his best friend was taking advantage of the fact that he needed him. One relied on the other, and the other had everything they wanted. The worst part was that it was all true. He really relied on his friend. And he hated it.

There was only one other name the older cared about.

One name he remembered.

One name he hated.

I decided to make the first chapter really short. Like a sort of prologue thingy--

I will not reveal names for a little while, so you must guess >:)

I did say one, yes. But note that there is no family name yet.
