The hot breath rose from the large open mouth, revealing its sharp white teeth snarling at me. The dusty grey furred wolf circled around where I sat, taking in every inch of movement. Was it frightened? No, it couldn't be. I wasn't a threat of any kind. All I was, was a little, harmless girl who had wandered off to the woods without my parents permission. I never took their warnings seriously, which was a big mistake now.
I watched the wolf as it watched me, fascinated by everything. From the tip of it's wet black nose to it's fluffy aware tail. It rose high up once he snared again, but this time, it wasn't directed at me, but another wolf. Full black furred with a scar across it's right arm. I should of been scared, but I wasn't the least bit.
The black wolf launched forward towards me, but the grey one stepped between us. Of course the black one was bigger in size, but the grey had more defense. I was frozen in my position on the cold snow. I could of ran, but what was the point? Soon enough, the grey wolf will die and I would be next as its meal. Do they even eat people? Who knows, maybe after my death, everyone can determine whether that's true or false.
They battled it out, gnawing at each others necks. Now was the only time I would ever have to use all my strength to get up and run. My hands pushed me up from the snow while my feet did the running. A howl stopped me, but only for a few second. Long enough for him to kick aside his opponent and keep up at the edge of my heels. My heart pounded loud in my ears. Already, I was out of breath, dying to catch more oxygen into the lungs. A flash of grey tackled the left side of the now yelping black wolf. I kept running, without looking back now. The only sounds left were the soles of my black boots patting against the solid silver ground.
I was alive, only because of a wolf ..
