This up coming scene includes death and blood!

I spun deflecting their attacks, and riskily stole a glance in Zero's direction, he was still running away from the scene of my fighting.

"Just die already!" one cried out and charged. Instead of deflecting I grabbed his arm and pried his sword out of his hand.

The sword wasn't to light or to heavy, perfect. I swung my sword at the leader giving his a deep gash in his face. He fell clutching his face. I turned and thrusted a sword into a man's chest and his body fell lifeless.

After I killed the one, another man got scared and started running to his horse. I picked up the dead man's dagger and threw it. The running man fell, blood pooling around him. Soon there was only two men, each with a sword, the others were dead around me.

Barely breaking a sweat I charged at the leader and the man, my plan had gone terribly wrong.

They deflected my attack easily and I shifted swiping my swords across their legs. They both fell in pain. I killed their leader first thrusting my sword in his back. The other one was the man in the ally way threatening to kill Zero.

"Please let me live, I won't tell anyone about this." he begged.

"You weren't going to give Zero another chance" I said and with that the sword found it's target in the back of his head.

I looked up and the men's horses were standing there probably going to be abused even more than they already were. I grabbed their reins and lead them to Kaspara, who wasn't far from the scene of dead men.

I searched through my pack on her thigh. I found just what I needed. Two long ropes.

I took all the reins and threaded the rope through them. I took the end of the ropes and tied them together. Then I placed the rope on the horn of Kaspara's saddle.

"This is going to be the death of me." I murmured to myself. I was planning to keep them all until we reach the next city where some more resistance members hid.

I mounted Kaspara and rode in the direction of Zero. Making sure I kept my distance from the ravine so none of the horses fell in.

----------

After I reached the border of the city I began by finding Zero. It didn't take long for me to find Boomerang so I just stayed around him.

"Hey boy, how was the run?" I asked and got my answer in a neigh. I laughed softly. Suddenly two hands grabbed my waist.

I turned and saw Zero.

"You found me!" he exclaimed.

"Well I made a promise didn't I?"

"What's with the horses?"

"I decided to take them and give them to friends." I said.

"Well how do we find your friends?"

"We don't" I said. He gave me a confused look.

" Mount Kaspara and hand the rope to me." I instructed and he obeyed.

"Here" he handed me the rope.

I mounted Boomerang and hooked the rope to his saddle's horn. "Stay close to me, and keep your eye on the horses, people here can't be trusted."

He nodded.

Weaving in and out of street, and getting curious looks at the horses I finally found what I was looking for. A grey stoned house with dark oak wood roof. I dismounted but told Zero to stay on his.

I walked up the stone steps and knocked. A few seconds later a man with a red hat and black pants and shirt opened the door.

"What do you want?" He asked rudely.

"Shield" I replied, and his mood changed. He looked over my shoulder at the horses and Zero.

"He's with me." I said.

"Where did you come from?"

"Master Aiden." I replied.

"Headquarters?"

"Yes I'm on a mission"

"What's with the horses?"

I smirked, "My gift to you, they need some care, and love but they are well trained. Men attacked us but it wasn't a big deal." I could feel the warmth of his house on my face.

"Okay I will show you the stables. And your in luck, some street stealers stole some horses a few days back."

"Thank you." I said then headed down the steps and to my horse. "Zero follow me, and don't move you eyes off the horses. He nodded.

I mounted Boomerang and followed the man to a large stable.

"The mayor gave this barn to us, since we are the police and all." I informed.

"That's a good but risky cover, don't you think?" I asked.

"Yea, we lost a few men do to a fire but we recovered."

" I'm sorry"

"Here this side is empty we can put the horses here." We began taking the bridles and saddles off the horses, and Zero followed my lead.

"You don't happen to have a coat in your house do you sir?" Zero asked the man.

"Well actually I do, and as a bonus you can stay the night, you must be tired." He replied.

"Thank you sir!"

The man smiled. "Think it's to risky for me to ask your names?"

"Does the queen come by here a lot?" I asked

"Never since I've been here, no" He replied.

"Okay then. That's Zero" Zero waved his hand and went back to work. "And I'm Spaze, but call me Z" Suddenly the man froze, then bowed.

"What are you doing?" Zero asked.

"Showing my respect, she is second in command, in the Resistance." the man replied.

"Please stand sir, I personally dislike it when people bow, it doesn't fell right." I said and the man stood.

"Well I am Morsen." He said.

"Nice to meet you Morsen." I said.

"It's a pleasure" Zero added.

After we were done getting the horses together in their stalls Morsen invited us to have dinner. We accepted, then went into our rooms to sleep. As I walked up the stairs with Zero in front of me Morsen asked me to stay.

I went back down the stairs and told Zero to go in his assigned room.

"You have a cut on your back, it looked deep to." Morsen said in barely a whisper making sure not to let Zero hear.

I felt my back and something wet started to cover my hand. I moved it in front of me and sure enough my hand was covered in blood. It started to drip on the floor.

"They didn't even hit me though," I hissed at myself.

"One of the swords could have been magic,"

"May I take a shower?" I asked, and Morsen nodded.

"Thank you."

After cleaning up my back which was hard, I went into my room and fell asleep. I didn't even feel my head touch the mattress.
