I woke up to the 'Pingg!' of my phone. As I looked at the screen, I noted that it was a text from Harris. I opened my Whatsapp and saw that he had written 'Morning hun! U awake?'
'Hun! Hun! Did he seriously just call me hun!?' I started hyperventilating. I felt like I'm so special. I replied saying 'Morning! Yh I'm awake, u cool?' I started getting worried as I saw that it was 6.03 in the morning. What could he need to say this early? Finally he replied, 'nm, just felt like talking to you.' I answered him saying 'Kl, lets meet outside in a bit, let me just have my breakfast and get ready.'
He quickly texted me, 'We'll just have breakfast together coz I want to talk to you, k?'
'Fine by me!'
...
An hour later, we met at costa coffee. As I walked through the doors, I had butterflies in my stomach eager to find out what he wanted to say. I sat opposite him and as our eyes met, I felt a tingling sensation. It was the first time I felt like this. I thought to myself,excited, 'Is this it? The day I fall in love!' I broke the silence saying 'Hey, what's up?'
'I'm good, u?' He replied.
'Fine,' I answered, twirling my finger in my hair.
'Umm... I wanted to tell you something since I first met you and... seeing as we're quite good friends now, I thought... it would be the perfect time to make this confession. I.... I love you!' He said to me while his cheeks turned from pale to rosy pink.
I looked into his eyes, saying, 'I love you too!' Aiden barged the door open, laughing at us. He was watching the whole time- how embarrassing! He joined us at the table and we told him everything. Then, we went home because me and Aiden needed to go uni.
