The day was just about to begin. It was morning and the sun's rays slightly lit up the room. There was a big lump under the covers. It looked as though a person was under them. But they were just pillows. Its 7 in the morning when the window opens. A small blonde headed girl crawled in through the window. She was just coming back from sneaking out to a party where she had drunken at least 3 to 4 beers. As she crawls into the window she tries to make sure the coast is clear. As soon as she gets her other foot in the room she tip toes to her bed. "What were you doing sneaking out like that!?" The girl freezes startled by her mom sitting on the chair in the corner.

"I went to check on the cows" the girl's voice sound annoyed.

"All night?" the mom asked already knowing where she went.

"I fell asleep on the hay" the girl snapped at her mom quickly.

The mom leaned forward slowly grabbing the girl's hands and slightly pulling her towards her. She was afraid that one day the cops would catch her drinking underage and put her in juvenile detention. She didn't want to visit her little girl once a month in a juvenile detention.

"You know I love you to the moon and back. So why do you do this stuff? I have given you a life I never had. I have tried to give you everything you wanted so why do you do this crap? Why?"

The mom really wanted to know why. She has tried to make her little girls life as perfect as she could. She did nothing to hurt her. Nothing. The mom had never had a fight with her little girl. Even if they did fight it was just playing around. She had the perfect life. The little girl had the life everyone wished they had. Maybe her life was just too perfect.

"I don't know what's gotten into her." Her mom tells her friend Ansley.

"Well, maybe she feels like you are invading her personal space and wants to go and show you she can handle herself." Ansley said.

Ansley, knowing what her friend was going through, said that as gentle as she could. She didn't want her friend to feel as if she was on her daughter's side. Ansley had ginger hair, with eyes as blue as the Caribbean Sea. Her voice was as soft as the slight sound of the moving river the breeze that was carrying. You could barely hear it but Ansley and her friend loved listening to it while taking a walk in the woods bursting with color and screaming for attention. Yet nobody seemed to notice the vibrant colors.

"Tammy, you need to face the facts. Your little girl isn't so little anymore and she feels that she needs her freedom without her mommy. She feels that she has to show you that she can handle herself out in the big world." Ansley finally said after a long silence between them had her feeling like she was supposed to say something to make Tammy feel better. But it didn't.

Tammy sighed and went to stand up but sat back down.

She looked at Ansley with eyes that Ansley had never seen before. Tammy's eyes were watering. She was crying. And as the silence grew longer Tammy was still crying. It seemed as if she couldn't stop. Tears just kept flowing and didn't stop until she heard a cry for help.

She quickly stood up and the tears were gone. It looked as if she had never cried in the first place. She ran when she heard the second cry for help. She and Ansley ran as fast as their legs could go. They were running pretty fast for two girls in a dress and flats.

"Why are we running so fast and why are we running period?!" Ansley yelled as she tripped on a log.

"Ow, shoot! Tammy slow down I just twisted my ankle!" Ansley yelled desperately really wanting Tammy to slow down.

"You just stop running and stay there while I go see who's calling for help. When I get done, I'll come back and see how bad you twisted your ankle!" Tammy yelled still running as fast as she could.

When she arrived at the spot where she heard the cries for help she stopped. Ansley who didn't listen to Tammy ran into Tammy who wasn't paying any attention to Ansley's question. Tammy looked around. She didn't see one thing. There was no one there. She collapsed on the grass.

''Tammy! What is going on!?'' Ansley asked.

"I thought I heard someone calling for help." Tammy said breathlessly. "I thought it was my daughter."

"Let's go home, come on. We have had enough today. Let's go home and take a nap." Ansley told Tammy.
