There once was an alien, but he was different from the others.

Gray and dry and tall he was surely an alien.

He had really long antennas, he had big blue eyes, and his arms were strangely longer than his feet.

While he sat in the sky, on a wonderful Black and Purple spotted ship, in front of a flower shop, wanting a human to come out so he could capture them and go.

There was nothing in the universe so boring than sitting and waiting.

Then she came out.

And for some reason the alien couldn't look away.

That night with the moon shining bright the alien fell in love.

But humans were supposed to be mangy and mean, not beautiful.

Could I capture her?

If I did she would never return to Earth.

Saddened, he turned on his light, and pulled her to his ship; it had been a long day.

The alien left with the girl in a protective case so she could still breathe.

He was done collecting his 30 humans for the night.

Tired the alien went home, not daring to look back at the magnificent face he was dooming, he wanted to turn around and let her go; the alien couldn't stop thinking about her, aliens weren't supposed to feel bad, especially for humans, it was forbidden.

By morning he was home and she was gone, not dead but not totally there either, her body was a soulless shell and there was no bringing her back.

*Afterward*

The alien lived the rest of his life alone. He couldn't find someone just quite like her. She died soon after the tests but before she died she remembered an alien waking her up and trying to save her life.
