hey there delilah,
this is the last night that morning glory played with me before they leave to go to l.a. with to start negotiating a contract and hopefully recording their first album. i’m happy for them, i really am, but i’m not going to lie: it’s going to be really lonely touring without them.
but, i have to anyways. i have to be my own opening act, and my own closing act. i have to be the one to rock the house. and i’m going to do it, i promise you.
tonight during my set, i played the finished version of the song that griffin and i wrote, now called “hey there delilah”. i got a standing ovation. that song is going to be a hit, delilah, i can feel it in my bones. and you’ll be able to tell everyone that it’s all because of you.
