Chapter eight Saving Grace

•No matter how hard I tried from that day forward her words wouldn't leave my mind."I've Warned You."•

Her hand raised into the air farther and farther and my heart just wouldn't stop sinking, but I knew that I had at least saved Storm for a little while which made me feel better, even though now I would get the punishment but I was use to being hurt. Oh did I get hurt so many times, well at least I have friends that I will protect from danger, mistrust, and selfishness caused by one girl who does not deserve pain herself and I understand what she goes through, but all she has to do is give us all a chance.

"I just have to prove a point 'ya know. No hard feelings? Good." I could sense the dread and sadness in her voice but her friends didn't seem to notice or even care. Well for my sake at least they didn't.

I looked up at her and into her eyes and gave her a look of understanding. "You don't have to go through this," I whispered and gave her a smile ,"but I understand and I am here for you." She paused and lowered her fist. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a smile widen on Paxton's beaming face, while the girl's friends frowned in anger and frustration.

"Come on, lets go." She grumbled under her breath, and pointed down one of the hallways. They hesitated and a few went like they were told. "Go!" The rest of them left and followed the others.

"Thanks and I am sorry. I'll find you tomorrow at lunch and we can talk. Okay?" She whispered I my ear, gave me a small smile, and left. Once they were out of earshot Phoenix jumped at me and grabbed ahold of my shoulders. "What did she just tell you?!" Phoenix asked concerned for my health and safety. "She just needs to talk to me. Why are you so worried? I can take care of myself. I'll be fine." "You don't understand..." Phoenix paused and backed away. "Don't understand what?" I asked.

"She tricks people, like most popular kids like her, but she is different."

"Different in what way?"

"Just different. I heard that she is secretly a ghost who tries to make students kill themselves so she won't be so lonely. So she does her evil little thing which makes them so sad that they commit suicide."

"I heard that after she makes them kill themselves she eats their bodies and stuffs their soul into boxes and gives them to children which then makes the kids go insane and kill themselves. It just keeps going in a loop!" Kevin laughed.

"Oh Kevin, quit lying, we don't need to scare Lily or anyone, especially any of the littler ones with their imaginations, and besides classes start tomorrow and lets have a good year. Okay?" Phoenix glared at him.

"I heard that she had a cousin or uncle that use to go to this school and died here during a tragic  event that happened thirty-something years ago, and now it is her turn to die, and haunt the school along with her dead relative!" Scarlet swung her hood over her head and pretended to act like a ghost. "BOO!" Phoenix stood there and crossed her arms over her chest; Cassidy mumbled something and then ran up to Phoenix, showing her a cute drawing she had made for her. Phoenix smiled and whispered something to Cassidy, which made Cassidy jump excitedly and sat against the wall drawing on.

"I heard she is a demon from Hell and wants food to feed her and her hatred family."

"I heard that she takes kids pets and forces there pets into the woods and makes them step in traps purposely so it is easier for her to eat them."
