"You're nothing but a thief."
"And then you wonder why your parents left you."
"That mutt is gross. You're better off without it."
"After last time? Expect no help from me ever again."
Nobody bothered to listen to Alana's story, although a girl dressed in rags never seemed worth the time in the first place. For that very reason she resorted to the worst act a street rat could ever let themselves stoop to; thieving. She was moderately good at it to and the supposed "mutt" she toted along with her while she walked the NYC streets was only an asset.
One cold evening when food was scarce, a beacon of hope shined down on Alana in the form of an old rusty bottle. But with just a rub on the cool metal and a small smile, her world got turned upside down.
A modern twist on Disney's "Aladdin".
Let me know what you think! :)
