Death the Kid'sPOV
Father told me to find the witch, Samantha. She refused to speak to him,so he thought it would be better if someone came around her own age. She was only 15 but I was 16.
I thought it would be best if I went to see this witch without Liz and patti to test my strength.
At 3:30 in the morning I snuck Out the house.
I walked through a foggy forest barely able to see. I stubbed my foot a couple of times but stubbed the other to stay symmetrical. I got to a door that was dark brown. I gave to door a funny look then knocked 3 times.
The door opened only a little. I could only see a girl's turquoise eyes with small white pupils and her long dull pink bang. I stared at her for a while to see how she would respond. She started looking up and down than my body to my head to my toes. She stared at my the rings on my hands. Then she tried to shut the door but I held it open. I pushed the open. I came face to face with a witch with pink curly hair, green eyes, she wore a short, old,no sleeve dress(stopped in the middle of her thighs) with a collar connected to it, white stockings,no shoes and straight hair that stopped in the middle of her back. She was only about a half an inch shorter than me.
I stepped forward to get a closer look, but at the same time she stepped back. I didn't want her to be afraid,so I gave an introduction with a smile,"Hello Miss Samantha, My name is Death-"
She interrupted,"the Kidd. Yes, I know you already."
"Yes, it seems like you do"
"Well people and witches told me about you"
"My father,Lord Death has been wanting to speak to you"
She looked away then ran farther and up the stairs of her old fashion house. I chased her until I reached the stairs. She sat a the topstep. She looked like a normal human. She had no tattoos or way of speech that wasn't normal. Why would her of all people be a witch? At the top of the stairs was very dark and I was only see her feet. I needed to speak with her,but she can't keep running away. I started walking up the steps.
She stood up,"Let me alone, reaper boy"
She ran all the way up the stairs out of sight. I tried running after her, but the tear shed by her stopped me.
I'll simply tell father I was she was unable to corporate with me. Scaring her to death will get me no where. I walked down what little stairs I walked up. I reached the door then heard a loud creaking. I turned and Samantha standing at the beginning of the stairs. She looked down, sighed, and walked back up the stairs.
I walked towards her in rage and pulled her shoulder to turn her around,"I'll only say this once more my father wants to speak with you which means you have to come with me!"
She looked up at me slowly. Staying silent Samantha put on a dark red cloak putting the hood connected to it on her head and went into the closet next to the stairs and pulled out mid-heel black shiny shoes. She sighed as the hood lowered on her head, covering her face completely. I pulled her to exit her home.
She stepped out with no sound. I didn't want to stub my toes in the fog forest so I asked her to guide me. She just nodded and walked a head.
When we entered DeathCity I took lead. My house was at the end of the city. As we walked down the gray brick road of the city I started asking her questions about her magic. This question I asked was pretty simple, well to me it was,"What's type of magic do you hold"
She shrugged,"My magic is very unstable. I think I would be able to use its total control when I'm 17 or 18, but I'm only 15."
"Most witches are very old like 400 or 300. But you're the only witch that's around my age. And about your magic are you living like a regular teen"
"Seriously the only witch? Oh and I think I am living life like a regular teen"
"Oh"
My second question was....
"Do live in that house alone?"
She sighed again for about the 8th time," Yes I do live in that house alone but just to give you some background my father was a human and my mother was a witch. My father was killed by my mother when insanity devoured her. At the time I was only about 7. I had to take care of myself. It was simple anyways. We had tons of books to read and by the time I was 5 I could read Z grade level"
"Where's your mother then?"
"I-I don't know"
We finally reached my house. I opened the door and guided her to go before me. She smiled and entered. Liz and Patti were still sleeping. They would be up by 8:00,but it was only 5:00.
I looked around for something to do. I ran over into my room and grabbed about 8 books from the book shelf. I brought all of them to Samantha. She smiled from ear to ear,"Thank you very much Death the kid."
I smiled too," No problem and please call me Kid"
She tried taking the books but slipped and hell into my chest. She stayed in that position for a while. Then she moved her head and looked up at me. She smiled," You're warm"
I wouldn't blame her for doing that she hasn't really had contact with a boy since,...NEVER!
I picked up the fallen books and put them on the coffee table. She sat down on the couch and picked up a book. As she read she gasped a bit but not much. She finished the 3 largest books within 2 and a half hours. For her age she read fast. Liz walked in to the hallway as sleepy as hell, hitting every walk that was close to her. She realized Samantha was in our house and almost had a heart attack,"KIDD! WHO'S THAT!"
I tried to calm her down but it backfired," She's a witch but-"
"SHE'S A WITCH!"
I sighed then sat next to Samantha,''She's powerless'' I said as I tugged on her cheek.
"Oh"
"She looks helpless anyway"
She slammed the book she was reading together and slammed it on the table. I saw tear drops at the tips of her eyes. She stood up,"I'm gonna go, if you don't need me''
''Hey! Hey! Remember what I said''
Samantha sighed and sat back down.
I checked the time. It was 8:00. I turned to Samantha who was reading and snatched the book,''Come It's 8:00. I think you should see my father now''
Liz unexpectedly,deviously said,''KIDD DO LIKE HER O-''
I threw one of Samantha's books' at her but she slipped back in the room before it could hit her.I stared at Samantha for a while, luckily she wasn't paying attention to me. She did look cute. UGH! LIZ WHY! Ipulled Samantha to Father's room so those stupid thoughts would be forgotten. I loudly knocked on his door.
Father slowly opened the door. But made a small crack was made. His room was dark. It didn't really mean anything it was early in the morning. I grabbed Samantha's arm tighter then through her in the small crack in the door.
The door slammed shut which got me a little worried but I know Father wouldn't kill anybody, right...
