Chapter 5: Unknown Fears

"Kat?" Umbreon said as I backed away slowly from her and Nurse Joy.

"Kat? What are you talking about, that's an Absol." A girl said as Umbreon walked towards me some more.

"Stay back!" I growled through Telepathy.

"Kat, please what happened to you?" Umbreon asked concerned at the banged up body I had.

"Why does it matter." I said lightly.

"It matters to me, it matters to your friends!" She said sadly.

"Friends? Humans aren't my friends. I don't trust them, after everything I have been through, how could I?" I said without any emotion.

"Kat?!" Umbreon said sharply as if she didn't know who I was anymore.

"I'm so sorry, Umbreon. But I can't trust anyone anymore. Ly-" I froze and turned as I sensed Alain. He came into the Pokemon Center and I growled.

"Well you certainly made it easy to find you. All I had to do was let you roam for a little bit and you came right to me." I growled more. "Weavile use Power-Up Punch." He threw out his Weavile and in seconds I was blown back into the wall. I felt sick. I opened my eyes gently as I saw a blurry Alain coming towards me.

"Leave her alone!" Umbreon growled.

"Whatever you say, Weavile make sure the Umbreon doesn't get in the way." Alain bent down above me. I felt unconsciousness coming quickly. I struggled to keep my eyes open.

"Why...why are you doing this...?" I questioned with the last of my strength.

"Because I have to. I need Mary back..." He picked me up and that's when I blacked out.

When I woke up I was in a cage. I jumped up and started trying to break out of it, but it really didn't do much.

"You aren't leaving here, Katherine." I glared at Lysandre, who had entered the room silently.

"I know what you want me to do, but I won't communicate with the legends of Kalos. You can forget it, even at the cost of my life you will never have them." I shook as he laughed loudly.

"It doesn't matter what you want or what you'll do, because you will do whatever I ask as long as I have your precious Umbreon." I shook my head.

'You don't have her."

"But I do."

"Then show me you coward!" I growled and he flinched a little at the confidence in my tone.

"Never."

"See you're nothing but a coward, there's nothing you won't say or do to make everything worse for everyone but yourself. I hope you rot with everyone else who has tried to do what you are trying to do." I growled and continued to try and break free from the cage.

"Fight as you might you are never leaving here, Katherine." He walked out of the room. I stopped fighting and curled back up on the ground. I finally got the courage to use Telepathy to speak to Umbreon.

Where are you Umbreon?

In Dendemille Town, where are you?

I have no idea...

Does Lysandre have you?

Yes.

Do you think there's any way to get away?

I don't know, I've been trying to break free of the cage I'm in but no luck yet. I have to find a way out soon or else I will never be able to warn everyone of what Lysandre is trying to do.
