•Chapter 1•

Thea's POV:

"Thea, come in and help me cook dinner, please" I hear my grandmother yell from the kitchen. I get up from my spot on the couch, in front of the tv. I walked into the kitchen to help cook my family's Christmas dinner for tomorrow.

After two hours of cooking, which I don't find that enjoyable at times like this, I grab my guitar and go outside in the front yard to get away from my crazy, insane yet amazing family.

I start to play my guitar and sing my favorite Christmas song at the moment. "You and Me at Christmas" by Why Don't We.

I know that it's a holiday
But I ain't the same without you bae
It's been a while since I saw your face

Remember when we carved our names
In December when the winter came

While I was singing, I heard a voice singing from behind me.

*other voice*

Your like cocoa on a Christmas morning

Do you remember?

I look behind me to see the last person on earth I was expecting. Zach Herron. The Zach Herron. I start to the next line again, as calm as I could.

I stopped singing and put my guitar down against the house and stood up to face Zach.

"Uh .. hi!" I said surprised.

"Heeey! I'm Zach!" He replied with a smile, reaching his hand out.

I shook his hand and he laughed.

"I'm Thea... or Althea.... or Thea.  Just call me .. Um... call me Thea. " I stuttered, I mean who would blame me? There's a insanely cute, talented 15 year old boy, literally standing right in front of me.

"Okay. Thea." He laughed. "Do you live here? I've never seen you around before."

"Oh, no, I'm visiting my grandparents and family for the holidays. I'm from Nashville. You live here I'm assuming."

He laughs and replies.

"Oh cool, I love Nashville! And yeah! That me casa there-o." Zach tried to talk in Spanish.

I laughed at his cuteness and stupidity.

"Sooo... wanna sit and chill? My family is being boring and won't even notice I'm gone" Zach motioned to the chairs in front of my house. I laughed and agreed. We sat and started to talk.

"So Thea, tell me about yourself ." Zach says.

"Um okay, well my names Thea, I'm 15, I love to draw, act, sing, anything involving entertaining, I'm there. Ummm... I live in Nashville.. I have 1 sister. My dream is to live in California." I say thinking to think of all the interesting things about me.

Zach just looks at me with his dopey but cute smile.

"Okay enough about boring me. Tell me about you zach. "

"First of all- your not boring- secondly..." He starts to say but then stops.

"Okay I am boring. And what?"

"Nothing I was just thinking...  What do you think about singing with me and recording it? " zach says thinking about something.

"Uh sure that sounds like so much fun! But why?" I reply with a laugh.

"Oh no reason, just you have an amazing voice, and I'm in a band and I think the other boys in my band would love to hear your voice. " he says grabbing my guitar that's leaning against the house.

I start laughing nervously. "Your band, as in "Why Don't We". With British Corbyn, George Washington , and Janiel? That band!?"

"Yeah! That's us! I'm actually laughing. British Corbyn, curly headed George Washington, then our power couple Janiel. Just a little question. You know, for the fans... What am I? " he says laughing.

"Oh I don't know about anyone else" I start saying with a smirk. " but your a Baby Panda in my eyes.

"A who now?" Zach says laughing harder. "That's a first. I guess a baby panda is okay. So anyway Thea , what do you say about the video?"

I think about it for a second, then I give in. Just a heads up girls. Do NOT look straight into Zach Herrons  puppy dog eyes. I swear he could get away with murder with those eyes. 

" okay fine. But I pick the song. I say with a smirk. "We sing "Stitches".

He looks at me funny. Then he gives in.

"Okay fine. Just because your a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice. "

I blush and watch him as he sets his phone up to record.

"Okay 5-4-3-2...."
