Blinding white is the first thing that the woman can register. The white light doesn't dim as time passes, and it's all she can truly see. It's forced tunnel vision with dark shades blocking the rest of wherever she is. All she can see is the white light before her damaging her retinas. All she can do is squint her eyes or close them to not look directly into the blaring light.
She can feel cold, hard, unmoving metal around her. At her backside, around her wrists, ankles, and skull restraining her onto the slab she is laid upon. A cool breeze spreads goosebumps over her bare arms. From the feeling of cloth on her upper and lower body, she is dressed. Most likely in a t - shirt and sweats as her forearms are bare, but not her shoulders, and her legs are fully covered to the ankles, but not more than wisps of cotton brushing against her skin.
Her face surrounded by the cold of metal, keeps her staring into the light. If she opened her eyes all she was able to look at is the white.
An air conditioner whirls in the background with a racket almost as though small rocks are stuck inside the thing rattling around bumping against everything. Her breathing, the air conditioner, and thrumming of the lights are the only sounds in the deafening silence of her prison.
"Help," she rasps out, her throat devoid of moisture and dry as a desert. "Someone, please. Help."
Nothing but previous silence greets her. The ever helpful companion.
"Please!" she begs to the air.
Still no response. No sounds of movement or life other than her own.
"Someone - Anyone! Can anyone hear me? I need help!" she cries. Pleading with all her will that someone is there to hear her. Her voice grows in volume with each word she speaks.
Am I alone? Is this hell? Where am I? Who am I? She thinks.
Her thoughts shoot off at a mile a minute.
"SOMEONE ONE, PLEASE, HELP ME!" Is her rasping cry to the Heavens. Her voice echoing back is her only answer.
